The method of detecting failures includes a measurement time window during which the following are carried out: an initialization of the measurement variables, detection of an actuation of the load, an action of reinitializing the engine control computer if at least one of the following conditions is valid: ΔT1>ΔT1_ref, ΔT2<ΔT2_ref, ΔT3>ΔT3_ref, ΔT4<ΔT4_ref.
Method for adapting a fuel injector control signal
Disclosed is a method for adapting a control signal of a control circuit for at least one injector of a combustion engine of a motor vehicle, the control signal being a voltage-pulse signal of variable frequency varying between a minimum frequency and a maximum frequency and which is characterized over a given period by its duty cycle. For a given period of the control signal, the method includes determining the start time of the given period and of detecting the first pulse in the given period from the start time and, when the duration of the detected first pulse is included in a minimum time interval beginning at the start of the given period and the duration of which is dependent on the maximum frequency, modifying the duration of the detected first pulse so that the duration becomes equal to the duration of the minimum time interval.

A control device controls a drive current that flows through a drive coil of a fuel injection valve that is electromagnetically driven. A control device includes a determination unit configured to determine whether a supply fuel pressure, which is a pressure of fuel supplied to the fuel injection valve, is higher than a determination pressure at which the fuel pressure is determined abnormally high; a first control unit configured to control the drive current in a first mode when the determination unit determines that the supply fuel pressure is not higher than the determination pressure; and a second control unit configured to control the drive current in a second mode that facilitates maintaining of the fuel injection valve in an open state more than in the first mode when the determination unit determines that the supply fuel pressure is higher than the determination pressure.
Electric current detection apparatus
An electric current detection apparatus, the electric current detection apparatus is configured to detect an electric current flowing in a solenoid configured to be electrified by a PWM control, the apparatus includes a switch, an electric current value detection portion configured to detect a first electric current value at a first timing corresponding to a timing when the switch transitions from a closed state to an open state, the electric current value detection portion being configured to detect a third electric current value at a third timing, and a second electric current value calculation portion configured to calculate a second electric current value on the basis of the first electric current value and the third electric current value, the second electric current value being an electric current value of the electric current at the second timing.
Control device for high pressure pump
A control device includes a plurality of sound reducing parts that is operated individually, when a predetermined condition for operation is met, at each of a plurality of timings when an operating sound is generated as a result of a movement of a valve body, in one open-and-close period, and that reduces the operating sound, at each of the plurality of the timings, by changing a period of energizing an electromagnetic part to an increase side relative to a normal time, an upper limit determination part that determines whether a required period of energizing the electromagnetic part in the one open-and-close period exceeds a predetermined upper limit value, when all the plurality of the sound reducing parts are operated, and a selectively operating part that selects and operates one or more of the plurality of the sound reducing parts to an extent that the required period of energizing does not exceed the upper limit value, when the upper limit determination part has determined that the required period of energizing exceeds the upper limit value.
PCSV control method for preventing malfunction
A Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV) control method for preventing malfunction may include: starting-up by a starting motor a crankshaft of an engine, and opening PCSV by a duty-control, wherein in the starting-up step, the PCSV is opened to eliminate foreign substances stained on the PCSV.
FUEL SYSTEM WITH VARIABLE OUTPUT FUEL PUMP
In at least some implementations, a system includes a pump having an electric motor and a pump outlet, a controller coupled to the pump to vary the power provided to the motor to vary the flow rate of liquid discharged from the pump outlet, a pressure regulator having an inlet communicated with the pump outlet, a regulator outlet from which liquid is discharged from the regulator, a bypass outlet through which liquid is discharged from the regulator, and a pressure responsive valve that opens to permit liquid flow through the bypass outlet, and a flow sensor. The flow sensor is communicated with the bypass outlet to sense or determine a flow rate of liquid at or downstream of the bypass outlet, the flow sensor also communicated with the controller to provide an indication of the bypassed liquid flow rate to the controller.

Temperature measuring device for measuring the temperature of a member, the member including a component controlled by a control signal, active at most during at least one limited activity interval, and transmitted to the component via two wires, a temperature probe connected to the two wires, in parallel with the component, and a diode, connected between a terminal of the component and a terminal of the probe connected to the same wire, in order to allow the passage of a current in the component only in a first direction, the temperature measurement being performed by a current flowing in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, outside of the activity interval.
ELECTRIC VARIABLE CAM TIMING CONTROL DEVICE
When an EDU determines that a motor is in a control unstable state where the motor cannot be controlled to a target rotation speed due to a drive voltage output duty value being smaller than a threshold value, the EDU performs a control point shifting operation to shift a control point between a first control point, which is in the control unstable state, and a second control point, which is a control stable state outside the control unstable state. Thus, even when the motor is in a stepping rotation state, it is possible to control the target rotation speed regardless of influence of a cogging torque, and appropriately control the cam phase of the intake camshaft to a target phase when the engine is stopped.
