Calculation of exhaust emissions of a motor vehicle
A method for ascertaining emissions of a motor vehicle driven with the aid of an internal combustion engine in a practical driving operation. A machine learning system is trained to generate time curves of the operating variables with the aid of measured time curves of operating variables of the motor vehicle and/or of the internal combustion engine, and to then ascertain the emissions as a function of these generated time curves.

A second calculation process calculates an intake air amount without using a detected value of the intake air flow rate. A guard process sets a difference amount learning value as a learning reflected value when the difference amount learning value is less than or equal to an upper limit guard value and greater than or equal to a lower limit guard value. A calculation method switching process sets a sum of a second intake air amount and the learning reflected value as a calculated value of the intake air amount when it is determined that an intake air pulsation is great.
Method and Device for Actuating a Camshaft Adjuster
Various embodiments include a method for actuating a camshaft adjuster of an internal combustion engine, in which a current is generated in an electric motor of the camshaft adjuster comprising: measuring an instantaneous strength of the current; calculating a mean value of the measured strength of the current over a predefined elapsed time; measuring a temperature of the camshaft adjuster; comparing the mean value of the measured strength of the current to a threshold value obtained from a characteristic diagram stored in a memory based on the measured temperature and the predefined elapsed time; and reducing the current if the calculated mean value of the strength of the current is higher than the threshold value.
METHOD FOR THE MODEL-BASED CONTROL AND REGULATION OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A method for the model-based control and regulation of an internal combustion engine. The method includes calculating, as a function of a set torque, injection system set values for controlling the injection system actuators via a combustion model and calculating gas path set values for controlling the gas path actuators via a gas path model. The combustion model is adapted during operation of the internal combustion engine into the form of a complete data-based model. A measure of quality is minimized by an optimizer by changing the injection system set values and gas path set values within a prediction horizon, and the injection system set values and gas path set values are set by the optimizer, which is critical for adjusting the operating point of the internal combustion engine by using the minimized measure of quality.
METHOD OF GENERATING VEHICLE CONTROL DATA, VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A method of generating vehicle control data is provided. The method is executed using a processor and a storage device and includes: storing first data that prescribe a relationship between a state of a vehicle and an action variable that indicates an action related to an operation of an electronic device; acquiring a detection value from a sensor that detects the state of the vehicle; operating the electronic device; calculating a reward, on the basis of the acquired detection value; in a case where a predetermined condition is met, updating the first data using, as inputs to update mapping determined in advance, the state of the vehicle, a value of the action variable, and the reward; and in a case where the state of the vehicle does not meet the predetermined condition, obtaining second data by adapting the relationship between the state of the vehicle and the action variable.

Method and system for controlling air-fuel ratio for gas engine
A method and a system for controlling an air-fuel ratio for a gas engine are provided. Current outlet pressure of the nozzle is calculated based on current pressure in an intake pipe and a current rotational speed, without detecting the outlet pressure of the nozzle by a sensor. A fluid state of the gas can be determined based on a ratio of the current outlet pressure to the current inlet pressure of the nozzle collected by a sensor, such that a flow rate characteristic corresponding to the fluid state can be selected to calculate power-on duration for the nozzle, so as to set the air-fuel ratio based on the power-on duration. The power-on duration can be calculated based on flow rate characteristics of the gas in respective fluid states, thereby achieving an air-fuel ratio with high accuracy.
FUEL INJECTION VALVE CONTROL DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR THE SAME
An actuator is energized to cause a valve body of a fuel injection valve to perform fuel injection. The actuator includes a driving body to drive to open and close the valve body. Boundary energization is performed that ends energization of the actuator at a timing when the driving body is moved in an opening direction of the valve body and is assumed to have reached an end of its movement range to measure a relationship between the energization time until the energization ends and the fuel injection amount. A correspondence relationship between the energization time of the actuator and the fuel injection amount is determined by using the measured relationship. An energization time corresponding to a target injection amount is obtained with reference to the determined correspondence relationship. The actuator is energized to cause the fuel injection valve to perform fuel injection.
Vaporized fuel treatment device and learning method of valve opening start position of sealing valve in vaporized fuel treatment device
A vaporized fuel treatment device includes a sealing valve disposed in a vapor passage between a fuel tank and a canister. An ECU is programmed to decrease an internal pressure of the fuel tank by a pump via the canister so as to diagnose whether leakage occurs in the vapor passage in a state where the communication between the canister and the atmosphere is cut off and the sealing valve is opened. The ECU is programmed to execute a learning of a valve opening start position of the sealing valve based on a change in the internal pressure of the fuel tank when changing an axial distance between valve element and a valve seat when the internal pressure of the fuel tank is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value after a diagnosis of leakage in the vapor passage.
