The fuel storage system including a main storage tank, an expansion tank, a fuel filling receptacle configured to receive a fuel filling nozzle of a filling station, and a valve arrangement having at least a normal operating setting and a fuel filling setting. The valve arrangement in the normal operating setting provides a fuel passage between the main storage tank and the expansion tank, and the valve arrangement in the fuel filling setting both provides a fuel passage between the fuel filling receptacle and the main storage tank and prevents fuel flow between the main storage tank and the expansion tank. The fuel storage system is configured to mechanically prevent disconnection of the fuel filling nozzle from the fuel filling receptacle unless the valve arrangement is in the normal operating setting. A corresponding method, as well as a further example embodiment of the fuel storage system, are also provided.
Recirculating system for a fuel supply system for a motor and method for supplying fuel to a motor of a vehicle through such a supply system
The present invention relates to a method for supplying fuel for a motor of a vehicle by a fuel supply system comprising: a first tank for containing a first fuel; supply means for supplying fuel to the motor; a supply line, for allowing said first fuel to pass from said first tank to said supply means; a return line, for allowing fuel to pass from said supply means to said first tank; a recirculating line, connected with said supply line and said return line, for allowing fuel to pass from said return line to said supply line; and valve means, configured to selectively direct fuel from said return line to said supply line by said recirculating line, or to said first tank; wherein said method comprises the steps of controlling the speed vehicle; controlling the vehicle motor load; defining a first threshold value of the vehicle speed; defining a second threshold value for the vehicle motor load; letting said first fuel passing from said first tank to said supply means through said supply line, and from said supply means to said first tank through said return line, preventing passage of fuel along said recirculating line, when the vehicle speed is lower than said first threshold value and/or motor load is lower than said second threshold value; or making said first fuel passing from said first tank to said supply means through said supply line and then through a closed circuit comprising a part of said return line, said recirculating line and a portion of said supply line, permitting passage of said first fuel through said recirculating line, so that said first fuel arrives again within said supply means, when the vehicle speed is higher than said first threshold value and motor load is higher than said second threshold value, so as to prevent an excessive increase within said first tank caused by inlet within the first tank of the first fuel warm arriving from said supply means.
LIQUEFIED GAS FUEL FEEDING SYSTEM AND A METHOD OF OPERATING A POWER PLANT OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES POWERED WITH LIQUEFIED GAS
A liquefied gas fuel feeding system can include a liquefied gas container configured to store liquefied gas and gaseous gas in cryogenic circumstances, a first fuel passage opening into an ullage space of the gas, a second fuel passage opening into a bottom section of the gas and provided with a controllable pump, at least two fuel delivery passages each configured to convey gas to a single gas consumer of at least two gas consumers, and a valve assembly configured to connect alternatively the first fuel passage or the second fuel passage to each one of the at least two fuel delivery passages.
DIHYDROGEN SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE
A supply system for an aircraft, wherein the supply system has a supply module with outlet pipes, feed pipes connected to dihydrogen tanks, and means for channeling the dihydrogen in the feed pipes towards the outlet pipes, a distribution module having introduction pipes connected to the outlet pipes via heaters, distribution pipes connected to an engine, and means for channeling the dihydrogen in the introduction pipes towards the distribution pipes, and a control unit which commands the means of the supply module and of the distribution module depending on the information provided by the detection means. Also an aircraft with such a supply system.
SYSTEM COMPRISING A CRYOGENIC CONTAINER FOR THE TEMPORARY REDUCTION OF PRESSURE LOSSES
The invention relates to a system including a cryogenic container, in particular an LNG container or a hydrogen container, an external heat exchanger and an internal heat exchanger with a pressure management system. The system also includes at least one of the following selectively connectable bypass lines for the temporary reduction of pressure losses: a first bypass line for the first heat exchanger tube of the external heat exchanger; a second bypass line for the second heat exchanger tube; a third bypass line for the internal heat exchanger.
FUEL GAS SUPPLY DEVICE FOR PROVIDING A FUEL GAS, AND AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A fuel gas supply device for providing a fuel gas to a fuel gas supply point, including: a fuel gas reservoir that is configured to store liquid fuel gas, the fuel gas reservoir being fluidically connected to a first supply path and a second supply path, the first supply path and second supply path each including a heat exchanger configured to evaporate liquid fuel gas; and a valve device configured alternately to connect the first supply path to the fuel gas supply point and simultaneously block the second supply path or connect it to the fuel gas reservoir, and to connect the second supply path to the fuel gas supply point and simultaneously block the first supply path or connect it to the fuel gas reservoir.
Fuel system for bi-fuel vehicle and method of filling bi-fuel vehicle with LPG fuel using the same
