TRIGENERATION SYSTEM USING DME
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a trigeneration system using dimethyl ether (DME), wherein the system produces electricity, controls heating and cooling, and supplies carbon dioxide as a fertilizer by driving a DME engine by using, as a raw material, DME which is clean fuel. A trigeneration system using DME according to the present invention may comprise: a DME tank in which DME fuel is stored; a DME engine driven by means of the DME fuel as a raw material; a DME fuel supply unit for supplying the DME fuel stored in the DME tank to the DME engine; a treatment unit connected to an exhaust line for discharging exhaust gas from the DME engine, so as to treat harmful components of the exhaust gas; a power generation unit for producing electricity by means of a driving force of the DME engine; and a cooling and heating unit for supplying or collecting heat by means of the driving force of the DME engine.
Delay circuit for providing natural gas to an engine and systems, assemblies, and methods thereof
A delay circuit for providing natural gas to an engine and systems, components, and methods thereof can comprise a first valve to selectively pass the natural gas from a starter motor configured to start the engine; a delay volume to receive the natural gas from the first valve; and a second valve to selectively pass the natural gas from the delay volume to an inlet of the engine. The natural gas is provided to the inlet of the engine via the delay system according to a predetermined delay by controlling the first valve and the second valve to selectively pass the natural gas to the inlet of the engine according to the predetermined delay.
System and method for evacuating liquefied petroleum (LP) gas from a fuel distribution system
A vehicle includes an engine and a fuel system. The fuel system includes a fuel tank that stores liquefied petroleum (LP) fuel. The fuel tank includes a tank outlet port and a tank return port. The fuel distribution system supplies fuel from the fuel tank to the engine and returns unused fuel to the fuel tank. The fuel distribution system includes an engine supply line coupled to the tank outlet port, and a fuel rail disposed on the engine and coupled to the engine supply line. The fuel system includes a fuel discharge valve disposed on the fuel distribution system for removing fuel from the fuel distribution system.
Method for producing a metering valve, and metering valve
The invention relates to a method for producing a metering valve (1) for a fluid, in particular for a liquid and/or gaseous fuel, comprising a preferably plate-shaped valve seat element (2) having at least one throughflow opening (3) for the liquid and/or gaseous fuel, a lift-movable valve disk (4) that sealingly interacts with the valve seat element (2) for releasing and closing the at least one throughflow opening (3), and a stroke stop element (5) having an annular stroke stop surface (6) for limiting the stroke of the valve disk (4). According to the invention, the stroke stop element (5) is axially pretensioned in the direction of a stroke adjustment ring (7) surrounding the valve disk (4). In order to finely adjust the stroke of the valve disk (4), the axial pretensioning force is altered, whereby the stroke stop element (5) is deformed. The invention further relates to a metering valve (1) for a fluid.
Systems and methods for controlling gas flow in transportation refrigeration systems
A transportation refrigeration system includes a transportation refrigeration unit, a gas circuit connected to the transportation refrigeration unit and arranged to connect thereto a split bottle gas supply having a plurality of electric lock-off valves, and a controller. The controller is operably connected to the transportation refrigeration unit and is responsive to instructions recorded on a memory to close the electric lock-off valves of the split bottle gas supply. The instructions also cause to the controller to receive a first measurement of gas pressure in the gas circuit, open a first of the electric lock-off valves of the split bottle gas supply, receive a second measurement of gas pressure in the gas circuit, and determine health of the first electric lock-off valve using the first and second measurements of gas pressure in the gas circuit. Related methods and computer program products are also described.
