Fuel pump unit cover and method of attaching same
A fuel pump unit cover that covers a part of a fuel pump unit exposed to the outside of a fuel tank includes opening holes, and is provided as an elastically deformable member. The opening area of the opening holes is smaller than the sum of the cross-sectional areas of components (fuel pipe and wiring harness) passing through the opening holes.
Fuel Supply Device
A fuel supply device includes a fuel supply passage, a fuel pump, a pressure-regulating valve, and a housing. The fuel supply passage is in communication with the fuel injector. The fuel pump pumps the fuel to the fuel supply passage. The pressure-regulating valve regulates the pressure of the fuel in the fuel supply passage. The housing is disposed in the fuel tank. The housing accommodates the fuel pump and the pressure-regulating valve. The fuel supply passage is formed within the housing. The pressure-regulating valve is connected to an end portion of the fuel supply passage formed in the housing. The volume of the end portion of the fuel supply passage in the housing is configured to increase with increasing pressure of the fuel.
FUEL PUMP MODULE
The present disclosure relates to a fuel pump module, and more particularly, to a fuel pump module including a flange module and a reservoir module, in which when a fuel delivery pipe for supplying filtered fuel from the reservoir module to the flange module is coupled to the reservoir module, since the fuel deliver pipe may be coupled to the reservoir module to a desired position in an axial direction and to be prevented from rotating in an axial direction, the fuel delivery pipe may be prevented from interfering with a guide rod connecting the flange module and the reservoir module in a vertical direction, thereby not only preventing the occurrence of fire, but also increasing a common use rate of the reservoir module.
PUMP COVER ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
A vehicle fuel pump assembly includes a fuel pump received in a tank opening, an annular pump mounting ring securing the pump to the tank at the opening, and a cover assembly including an annular cover ring and a cover. The cover ring is removably attached onto the underlying pump mounting ring and the cover is removably attached onto the cover ring to overly at least part of the fuel pump. The cover system can include a flexible attachment element on the cover ring engaging a peripheral notch in the pump mounting ring and clip elements securing the cover to the cover ring. The cover can include a hinge to provide pivoting of the cover or a portion of the cover with respect to the cover ring.
Fuel pump driven by an electric motor
A fuel pump includes a pump holder having a sidewall extending from a first end to a second end which is closed off by an end wall, the pump holder having a fuel inlet. An upper plate located within the sidewall has an upper plate flow channel. A lower plate located within the sidewall has a lower plate flow channel and an outlet chamber is formed between the lower plate and the end wall. An outlet passage extends from the lower plate flow channel to a lower surface of the lower plate. A pumping element located between the upper plate and the lower plate is rotated by an electric motor such that fuel is drawn through the fuel inlet into, and pressurized within, the upper plate flow channel and the lower plate flow channel and discharged into the outlet chamber through the outlet passage.
FUEL-SUPPLY ASSEMBLY FOR INTERNAL COMBUSION ENGINE AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME
A universal fuel-supply assembly is adaptable during manufacturing to be made for use with one of multiple different fuel types (e.g., gasoline or diesel fuel). A method for assembling a fuel-supply assembly includes providing a plate structure configured to be secured to a fuel tank. The plate structure has multiple bosses. According to one example, the method determines whether the fuel-supply assembly is for use as a diesel fuel-supply assembly or as a gasoline fuel-supply assembly. The method provides an opening through one of two different bosses that communicates with both the top side and the bottom side of the plate structure depending on whether the fuel-supply assembly is for use as a diesel fuel-supply assembly or a gasoline fuel-supply assembly.
Vehicle fuel pump cover assembly and method
A fuel pump cover assembly and method for a vehicle includes a cover arranged over the vehicle fuel pump for inhibiting water access to the vehicle fuel pump and at least one clip securing the cover to a feed line for the vehicle fuel pump.
Fuel pump module
A fuel pump module includes a fuel pump, a housing, a filter, a bracket, a lid, a fuel passage, and a pressure regulating valve. The fuel pump supplies a fuel in a fuel tank that defines an opening to an outside of the fuel tank. The housing has a cylindrical shape and supports the fuel pump. The bracket connects the filter to the housing. The lid covers the opening and defines a discharge port through which the fuel is supplied to the outside. The fuel passage connects the fuel pump to the discharge port. The pressure regulating valve has a gravity center inside a space defined by a first virtual cylindrical surface including the housing. A minimum circumscribed circle of both the housing and the filter is smaller than the opening.
Fuel pump with integral vapor trap system and related method
An in-tank fuel pump assembly and mounting system is disclosed which may be configured for mounting inside a fuel tank. The assembly includes a pump housing, pump mounted to the housing, and pressure relief valve. The housing may comprise upper and lower pump housing units coupled together. The upper housing unit is configured for mounting to a tank opening, which in one implementation may be the fuel fill opening. The lower housing unit extends into the tank to approximately the bottom of the tank. A fuel fill fluid pathway is created through the housing for adding fuel to the tank while the pump assembly remains in situ. The upper housing unit may include a removable fuel cap. The pump housing may include an integral vapor trap.
