A fuel-conveying system includes: a primary fuel pump, configured to supply fuel to an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, at a fuel pressure; a suction jet pump configured to convey fuel from a first region of a fuel tank of the vehicle to a second region of the fuel tank, the at least one suction jet pump having a nozzle; and a secondary fuel pump, decoupled from the primary fuel pump and configured to: supply, as required, the suction jet pump with a fuel jet, and set, independently of the primary fuel pump, a pressure of the fuel jet before the nozzle of the suction jet pump.

Automatic adjusting fuel boost pump

A fuel supply system for an aircraft includes a fuel tank configured to supply fuel to an engine of an aircraft, a boost pump in operational communication with the fuel tank, wherein the boost pump is configured to control at least one of a fuel level and a fuel pressure in the fuel tank, and an electronic controller in communication with the boost pump and configured to control the boost pump. The electronic controller is configured to receive received information including (i) fuel information, (ii) flight information, and (iii) aircraft information, and configured to control the boost pump based on the received information.

PORTABLE PUMP AND FUEL CONTAINMENT SYSTEM

A portable pump and fuel containment system includes a portable base assembly including a lower support and wheels, a container on the lower support including an interior volume and inlet and outlet ports in fluid communication with the interior volume, and a liquid transfer assembly coupled to the portable base assembly. The liquid transfer assembly includes a pump, a three-way control valve, a flexible transfer line having a first transfer line segment coupled to a first inlet of the three-way control valve and a second transfer line segment extending from the outlet port to a second inlet of the three-way control valve, and a flexible return line having a first end coupled to the outlet of the pump and a second end detachably coupled to the inlet port of the container. An outlet of the three-way control valve is connected to an inlet of the pump.

FUEL PUMP MODULE

A fuel pump module includes a fuel pump, a housing, a filter, a bracket, a lid, a fuel passage, and a pressure regulating valve. The fuel pump supplies a fuel in a fuel tank that defines an opening to an outside of the fuel tank. The housing has a cylindrical shape and supports the fuel pump. The bracket connects the filter to the housing. The lid covers the opening and defines a discharge port through which the fuel is supplied to the outside. The fuel passage connects the fuel pump to the discharge port. The pressure regulating valve has a gravity center inside a space defined by a first virtual cylindrical surface including the housing. A minimum circumscribed circle of both the housing and the filter is smaller than the opening.

Apparatus and method for modifying a fuel tank to accept an in-tank fuel pump

A siphoning assembly for a fuel supply system comprises an adaptor body with a pressurized fuel inlet, a suction inlet and an outlet and an outlet passageway connecting the pressurized fuel inlet and the suction inlet to the outlet. A venturi nozzle extends in-line with the pressurized fuel inlet and opens into a suction chamber to create a pressure drop for pulling in fuel from the suction inlet which also opens into the suction chamber. The outlet passageway forming a liquid trap between the suction chamber and the outlet. The siphoning assembly may include a pressure relief valve connected to the pressurized fuel inlet formed as a bypass line of the pressurized fuel supply line.
