Various embodiments include a high-pressure port for a fuel pump comprising: a body defining an internal volume; an outlet valve with an element opening in a first direction; a pressure-limiting valve with an element opening in an opposite second direction; a common valve plate including a sealing seat for both valve elements; and a sleeve guiding the outlet valve element during movement, fastened in the body with an axial stop limiting movement of the outlet valve element and a radial guide guiding the outlet valve element during movement. The guiding sleeve comprises a harder material than the body.
VALVE, IN PARTICULAR SUCTION VALVE, IN A HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP OF A FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
The invention relates to a valve, in particular a suction valve, in a high-pressure pump of a fuel injection system, having a valve element (14) which can be moved between an open position and a closed position and which is connected to a magnet armature (10) via an armature pin (8). An actuation force can be transmitted to the valve element (14) by the armature pin (8). The invention is characterized in that the armature pin (8) is partly introduced into a depression (24) of the magnet armature (10), and the armature pin (8) and the magnet armature (10) are connected together in a contact region (48) in a force-fitting manner by means of an interference fit (20). The armature pin (8) has a changing outer diameter (47), in particular a continuously changing outer diameter, along the contact region (48).
High-pressure fuel supply pump having electromagnetically-driven intake valve
A fuel pump includes an intake valve unit which is provided between a low-pressure chamber and a pressurizing chamber. The intake valve unit includes an intake valve configured to move in an axial direction of the intake valve unit and a valve stopper arranged between the intake valve and the pressurizing chamber. A plurality of fuel passages configured to allow fuel to communicate between the low-pressure chamber and the pressurizing chamber are formed on a radially outward of an outer peripheral surface of the valve stopper.
Fuel pump and inlet valve assembly thereof
A fuel pump includes a fuel pump housing with a pumping chamber; a pumping plunger which reciprocates within a plunger bore; and an inlet valve assembly. The inlet valve assembly includes a check valve member which is moveable between an unseated position which provides fluid communication between the pumping chamber and a fuel supply passage and a seated position which prevents fluid communication between the pumping chamber and the fuel supply passage; and a solenoid assembly which includes a wire winding; a pole piece; an armature which is moveable between a first position when the wire winding is not energized and a second position when the wire winding is energized; a return spring which biases the armature away from the pole piece; and a control rod which is moveable along the inlet valve axis independently of the armature.
High-pressure fuel supply pump having electromagnetically-driven intake valve
A high-pressure fuel supply pump includes a pressurizing chamber, a piston plunger, and an electromagnetically-driven intake valve mechanism. The piston plunger reciprocates within the pressurizing chamber. The electromagnetically-driven intake valve mechanism is provided at an inlet of the pressurizing chamber. The electromagnetically-driven intake valve mechanism includes an anchor which pulls a plunger rod, a fixed core which attracts the anchor, and a yoke in which inner peripheral part has the fixed core and the anchor. The fixed core is fixed to a bottom part of the yoke. A through hole is formed at a bottom part of the fixed core.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR DIAGNOSING A HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP IN A FUEL SYSTEM
Various methods and systems are provided for health assessments of a fuel system. In one example, a fuel system includes a high-pressure fuel pump operable to increase fuel pressure from a first pressure to a second pressure, a common fuel rail fluidly coupling the high-pressure fuel pump to a plurality of fuel injectors each of which is operable to inject fuel to individual cylinders of an engine, a pressure sensor operable to detect a pressure of fuel at the common fuel rail, and a controller operable to diagnose a condition of the high-pressure fuel pump based on output from the pressure sensor.
