Solenoid Valve for a Fuel Injection System, and High Pressure Fuel Pump
There is disclosed a solenoid valve for a fuel injection system, in which solenoid valve a closing element which interacts with a valve seat in order to close and open the solenoid valve is actuated by a control pin, the control pin being formed by way of a solenoid plunger. Furthermore, a high pressure fuel pump is disclosed which has a solenoid valve of this type.
ELECTROMAGNETICALLY ACTUABLE INTAKE VALVE FOR A HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP, AND HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP
The invention relates to an electromagnetically actuable intake valve for a high-pressure pump of a fuel injection system, in particular of a common-rail injection system, comprising a reciprocating valve closure element (2) that engages with a valve seat (1) and is loaded in the closing direction by the spring force of a valve spring (3) which is supported on a spring plate (4) connected to the valve closure element (2), further comprising a reciprocating armature (6) that engages with an electromagnet (5) and is loaded in the direction of the valve closure element (2) by the spring force of an armature spring (7) which is larger than that of the valve spring (3). According to the invention, the spring plate (4) has a first abutment face (9) for limiting the opening travel of the valve closure element (2) and a second abutment face (10) for mechanically coupling to the armature (6). The invention also relates to a high-pressure pump having such an intake valve.
HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP
A high-pressure pump has a metering valve and a valve stopper. The stopper has a regulation portion which an end surface of the valve is brought into contact with. An outer diameter of the regulation portion is equal to an outer diameter of the outer peripheral surface of the valve. A cylindrical sleeve is disposed around the regulation portion. When the end surface of the valve is in contact with the regulation portion, the sleeve covers a tapered surface of the valve.
HIGH PRESSURE FUEL SUPPLY PUMP WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC SUCTION VALVE
To reduce collision noise created by the operation of an electromagnetic suction valve provided on a high pressure fuel supply pump. In the present invention, in order to achieve the above object, the mass of a member which collides by magnetic attractive force is reduced to reduce the noise to be generated. The thus configured present invention provides the following advantageous effects. The noise generated when a core and an anchor collide with each other by magnetic attractive force depends on the magnitude of the kinetic energy of a moving element. The kinetic energy to be consumed in the collision is only the kinetic energy of the anchor. The kinetic energy of a rod, being absorbed by a spring, does not contribute to the noise; thus, the energy when the anchor and the core collide with each other can be reduced, whereby the noise to be created can be reduced.
Partial Travel Solenoid Valve Actuation Arrangement
A valve assembly for a fuel pump is provided. The valve assembly may include an inlet valve limited to a first range of travel extending between a fully closed position and a fully opened position of the inlet valve, a valve pin coupled to the inlet valve, an armature pin selectively engaging the valve pin, and an armature coupled to the armature pin and limited to a second range of travel extending between an engaged position and a disengaged position that is less than the first range of travel.
High-Pressure Fuel Pump and Method for Producing Same
Provide is a high-pressure fuel pump capable of improving the degree of freedom of layout of members to be attached to a pump body and a producing method thereof. Therefore, the high-pressure fuel pump includes the suction joint that sucks fuel, the pump body formed with the pressurizing chamber that pressurizes the fuel sucked from the suction joint, and the discharge joint that discharges the fuel pressurized in the pressurizing chamber. The pump body is formed so that at least a part of the side surface portion thereof becomes a cylindrical portion or a polygonal shape portion. At least one of the discharge joint and the suction joint may be fixed on the inner peripheral side with respect to the outermost peripheral portion of the cylindrical portion or the polygonal shape portion of the side surface portion.
Valve assembly
An inlet valve assembly for a high-pressure fuel pump is disclosed. The inlet valve assembly comprises an inlet valve member moveable between open and closed positions to control the fuel flow from a source of low-pressure fuel to a pumping chamber of the fuel pump, a first biasing spring arranged to apply a first force to the valve member in an opening direction, a second biasing spring arranged to apply a second force to the valve member in a closing direction, and an actuator arrangement operable to remove the first force from the valve member, thereby to allow the valve member to move into its closed position.
Valve device and high pressure pump using the same
A valve seat has an inner passage and outer passages. A suction valve member has first passages and a first projection portion that guides, to the first passages, the fuel that flows from a pressure chamber at the time of valve opening. Therefore, an action force by the dynamic pressure applied to the suction valve member in the valve closing direction is reduced. An action force by the pressure of fuel that flows into pressure equalization grooves counterbalances the action force by the dynamic pressure of the suction valve member. Therefore, self-closing by the dynamic pressure can be inhibited, and the maximum output of an electromagnetic driving unit can be reduced. Fuel flows through a passage radially outside the suction valve member and the first passages. A fluid passage area is securable even when a lift amount of the suction valve member is small.
Direct injection pump control strategy for noise reduction
A pump may have a first chamber and a solenoid coil to control movement of a first valve member. A second chamber may have a second valve member to control fluid moving into a third chamber. A first fluid passageway may link the first and second chambers, a second passageway may link second and third chambers and a third passageway may link third and fourth chambers. After pressurizing the third chamber causing fluid to flow into and leave a fourth chamber, the third chamber depressurizes due to downward movement of a plunger. Upon depressurization with a solenoid coil energized, second valve member floats and then moves against a valve seat. While the second valve member is moving toward the valve seat, the solenoid coil is de-energized causing the first valve member to move and strike the second valve member when the second valve member is moving at maximum velocity.
