Drive device for fuel injection device, and fuel injection system
A drive device capable of detecting individual variations of an injection quantity of a fuel injection device of each cylinder and adjusting a current waveform provided to an injection pulse width and a solenoid such that the individual variations of the fuel injection devices are reduced. The fuel injection device in the present invention includes a valve body that close a fuel passage by coming into contact with a valve seat and opens the fuel passage by separating from the valve seat and a magnetic circuit constructed of a solenoid, a fixed core, a nozzle holder a housing and a needle and when a current is supplied to the solenoid a magnetic suction force acts on the needle and the needle has a function to open the valve body by colliding against the valve body after performing a free running operation and changes of acceleration of the needle due to collision of the needle against the valve body are detected by a current flowing through the solenoid.
Fuel injector systems, fuel injectors, fuel injector nozzles, and methods for making fuel injector nozzles
Embodiments are directed to fuel injectors for internal combustion engines (e.g. engines with reciprocating pistons and with compression-ignition or spark-ignition, Wankel engines, turbines, jets, rockets, and the like) and more particularly to improved nozzle configurations for use as part of such fuel injectors. Other embodiments are directed to enabling fabrication technology that can provide for formation of nozzles with complex configurations and particularly for technologies that form structures via multiple layers of selectively deposited material or in combination with fabrication from a plurality of layers where critical layers are planarized before attaching additional layers thereto or forming additional layers thereon. Other embodiments are directed to methods and apparatus for integrating such nozzles with injector bodies.
FUEL INJECTOR WITH DIVIDED FLOWPATH NOZZLE
A fuel delivery system and a direct injector for directly injecting fuel into a cylinder are provided. In one example, a direct fuel injector includes a nozzle in fluidic communication with a fuel source, the nozzle includes at least one fuel flow path that divides into two exit flow paths within the nozzle defining a plurality of exit orifices stemming from a common inlet orifice thereby improving the atomization and mixing of the fuel as it enters the cylinder. A plurality of spaced-apart divided fuel flow paths may be positioned within the nozzle to further optimize mixing and reduce wall and piston wetting.
Fuel injection device
Among all combinations of two injection holes, in a combination in which when the injection holes are offset such that their central axes are coincident with each other in inlet openings, an inter-injection hole angle formed by the central axes is minimized, the inter-injection hole angle between the two injection holes is represented as yamin[deg], taper angles, which are formed by the respective contours of the injection hole inner walls in the cross sections along the virtual planes including the central axes of the two injection holes that allow the inter-injection hole angle to be minimized, are represented as a1 and a2[deg], and when fuel is injected from the injection holes, average pressure of the fuel in the fuel passage is represented as P[Mpa], and the injection holes are formed so as to satisfy a relationship: amina1+a2+0.5P.sup.0.6.
Fuel injection device
A drive unit of a fuel injection device includes a driver circuit. The driver circuit opens and closes a valve element of the fuel injection device by supplying a drive current to the fuel injection device. The driver circuit supplies the drive current to open the valve element and sets the drive current to zero in an intermediate lift area. The intermediate lift area is an area is which a lift amount of the valve element is smaller than a maximum target lift amount.
Methods and systems for a fuel injector
Methods and systems are provided for a fuel injector. In one example, a system may include a fuel injector having a half-annular venturi shaped outlet passage arranged between an outlet surface of the fuel injector and a half-cone shaped end portion of a nozzle. The nozzle may further comprise one or more air entraining features working in tandem with the half-annular venturi outlet passage to promote air-fuel mixing.
Fuel injection device
Provided is a structure capable of reducing dribbling of fuel generated when a valve body is closed. In order to achieve the above object, a fuel injection device includes: a valve body; and a seat member having a seat portion on which the valve body is seated and having a fuel injection hole formed on a downstream side of the seat portion. The seat member is formed such that a gap between the seat member and the opposing valve body in the whole region on the downstream side of the fuel injection hole is smaller than a diameter of the fuel injection hole.
Methods and systems for a fuel injector
Methods and systems are provided for an injector. In one example, the injector comprises at least two passages, wherein outlets of each of the passages are differently shaped than corresponding inlets of the passages. Further, in one or more examples, each of the outlets may be shaped and sized differently with respect to each other.
Nozzle body and fuel injection valve
The present disclosure relates to a nozzle body for a fuel injection valve, the nozzle body including a cavity and an injection channel for dispensing fuel from the cavity. The injection channel includes a first section and a second section downstream of the first section, the first and second sections having a common interface. The first section extends from a fuel inlet opening to a second opening disposed at the common interface. The cross-sectional area of the first section monotonically decreases from the fuel inlet opening to the common interface. The cross-sectional area of the second section monotonically increases from the common interface to the fuel outlet opening.
Fuel Injection Valve
Dispersibility of fuel in a combustion chamber is improved while adhesion of the fuel to a structure in the combustion chamber is suppressed, and a combustion state of the fuel in the combustion chamber is improved, thereby improving fuel efficiency and suppressing incomplete combustion. Therefore, in a fuel injection valve provided with the plurality of fuel injection holes surrounded by a seat portion, the fuel injection holes have different penetrations. At least one high-pressure fuel injection hole having the longest penetration and low-pressure fuel injection holes excluding the fuel injection hole are included. Among the inter-inlet distances of the adjacent fuel injection holes, an inter-inlet distance between the fuel injection hole and the fuel injection holes adjacent thereto is widest.
