WIND AND WATER TURBINE APPARATUSES
A fluid turbine apparatus includes a fixed structure and a rotating structure supported by the fixed structure. The rotating structure includes a central shaft, and at least two wings connected to the central shaft. Each of the wings includes a wing frame, at least one door and a respective at least one door stopper. Each of the doors pivots relative to the respective wing frame between closed and open positions. In use, the door located at one side of the central shaft facing a flow of fluid is in the closed position with fluid force transferred to the door, while the door located at the opposite side of the shaft is in the open position with fluid passing through the respective wing frame. The fluid force creates a torque that rotates the central shaft. Apparatuses can extract power from wind or water current.

The present invention is a wind generator system for small wind applications that harnesses low velocity wind effectively, the wind generator system comprising a rotor, a drive shaft connected to the rotor and to a generator for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy; and a plurality of blades attached to the rotor and extending radially outwardly therefrom; wherein each blade includes a first portion having a distal end for attaching to the rotor and a proximal end attached to a scoop portion with individual scoop sections; and wherein each individual scoop section has an angle of incidence to the wind that operates to increase the lift of the blade while decreasing drag.
Reciprocal motion wind energy harvesting device
A reciprocal motion wind energy harvesting device has a first lever arm assembly and a second lever arm assembly, which are supported by and rotate about a central shaft. The lever arm assemblies have pluralities of vanes along their length to receive wind force. The vanes are configured to be rotatable in order to produce opposing and reciprocating motion of the lever arm assemblies. The lever arm assemblies are operatively connected to a generator in order to convert the wind force received by the vanes into energy.
VENTURI VORTEX AND FLOW FACILITATING TURBINE
A wind harvesting assembly for a wind turbine, having: a Venturi tube having a hollow interior having a first air pressure; an open top end having a first diameter; an open bottom end having the first diameter; a tube length spanning between the open top end and the open bottom end; and a constricted section located above the bottom end, the constricted section adapted to increase a velocity of air passing through by having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter; a plurality of vertical wind turbine blades arranged around the Venturi tube, an outlet disbursement blade assembly disposed below the bottom open end of the Venturi tube and a port fan positioned coaxially with the Venturi tube.
Vertical axis windmill with shutters and blinds
A vertical axis windmill system for interacting with ground level winds has a plurality of vertical windmill units. Each vertical windmill unit includes a rotation unit and outer rings. The rings are secured to the vertical support columns. The rotation unit has a plurality of blades equally spaced around a rotatable center shaft. Each blade has a plate extending from the central shaft to an outer end. The plate has a curvature from an upper edge to the lower edge. Each of the blades has a plurality of openings. A plurality of flaps are pivotably mounted to the blade to move from an open position allowing air through the plurality of openings to a closed position limiting air through the plurality of openings. The system has a generator for converting the rotation motion of the rotatable central shaft to electrical energy.
AN APPARATUS FOR CONVERTING WIND OR WATER ENERGY
The subject-matter of the invention is an apparatus for converting energy of wind or water, it is driven by natural energy of wind or water, it is a rotating machine with either magnetic control or mechanic one where blades move along an open eccentric path with continuously changing radius in its construction; in the construction one or more sliding blocks (2) are fastened on a driven axle (1) shapes suitable for sliding are formed in the said blocks, their number depends on the number of blade arms (3) of the blades (5), there are secondary sliding blocks (4) and a power transmission system is established, which is realized by the driven axle (1) and the blades (5) led to a leading path (6) eccentric to the axle.
TURBINE
A turbine, in particular for harvesting energy in flowing air or flowing water, is easily adaptable to different application conditions and facilitating a comparably high degree of efficiency. This is achieved in that the basic shape of the turbine is cylindrical and is provided with blades which are parallel to an axis of the turbine. The blades are pivotally arranged in joints on the outer circumference of at least one turbine wheel. The blades are substantially L-shaped. The longer limb of the blade is curved preferably in a manner corresponding to the radius of the turbine casing, and the shorter limb lies within the surface line of the turbine.
Drag cum lift based wind turbine system having adjustable blades
Invention relates to renewable Wind energy combining drag and lift forces into usable torque, having adjustable blades panels with sub blades. Its unique feature is to convert reverse drag into usable lift and combine the two forces in to one cohesive force. The system comprises output drive rotor arranged on a tower base, with its rotating arms with blade panel assemblies mounted rotatably. Each blade panel assembly comprises an auxiliary rotary shaft having sub-blade panels pivotable at one or more pivot points with primary or secondary control arrangements for blocking and/or allowing wind to pass through the blade panels partially or fully. The system further includes sensors to collect control information, coupled to Main Control Unit (MCU) and secondary control arrangements, configured to provide one or more energy forms.
VERTICAL WIND TURBINE WITH ROTATABLE BLADES
A vertical wind turbine with rotatable wind blades. Under wind pressure, each blade is capable to rotate and stop at a specified location for optimal angle of attack towards the wind to improve the efficiency of the turbine.
Each blade is divided into two unequal area of airfoils with the aerodynamic center of the blade located in the larger area trail end. Under wind pressure, the turbine frame would stop the blades at locations where each blade has an optimal angle of attack towards the wind. As a result, blades in the upwind force zone encounter minimal drag force to improve the efficiency of the turbine.
