Device for choking a fluid flow and corresponding piston pump for delivering fluids
A device for choking a fluid flow includes a pot-like base body, in the base of which a first passage opening is arranged, and a closing body guided axially moveably in the pot-like base body against a spring force of a spring element and having a second passage opening that forms a static choke point with a predefined fixed opening cross section. The closing body in combination with the spring element and the first passage opening forms a dynamic choke point with a dynamic opening cross section that is variably adjustable depending on a pressure difference.
Internal combustion engine fuel, preferably diesel fuel, feed pump assembly
Internal combustion engine fuel, preferably diesel fuel, feed pump assembly, the pump assembly (1) comprising a pump body (2); at least one cylinder (6) formed in the pump body (2) and extending along an axis (A2); a seat (12) formed in the pump body (2), at one end of the cylinder (6); an intake valve (18) for selectively controlling fuel feed into the cylinder (6), which is housed inside the seat (12) and in turn comprises a valve body (25); and an annular seal (26) extending around the axis (A2) and fitted inside the seat (12) between the valve body (25) and the pump body (2); the pump assembly (1) being characterized in that the valve body (25) is positioned contacting the annular seal (26) along a contact surface (45) of the valve body (25) and close to a surface portion adjacent to a radially inner peripheral edge (46) of the seal (26); the valve body (25) having an annular step (48) along another surface portion adjacent to a radially outer peripheral edge (52) of the seal (26).
PUMP UNIT WITH INTEGRATED PISTON PUMP AND ELECTRIC MOTOR
An automotive hydraulic actuating system for actuating a movable vehicle part, like a roof part or a wheel suspension. The actuating system comprises a pump unit. The pump unit comprises a piston pump which has a pump rotor and an electric motor which has a motor rotor. The pump rotor and motor rotor are incorporated into a single common rotor. The rotor is a one piece item. The rotor is positioned inside a pump chamber around a pump stator of the piston pump. The pump stator provides a full support to the common rotor. Advantageously, without a separate motor stator, the pump unit has a more compact configuration. Additionally, the pump unit has an improved dynamic performance which contributes to a silent and reliable operation at a high rotational speed.
Pump with segmented fluid end housing and in-line valve
A plunger pump fluid end assembly design in which the suction valve and seat is aligned with the plunger and the fluid end housing is constructed with multiple modules. Modules are held in a rigid assembly by staybolts that connect to the power end of the plunger pump. Said staybolts pass though bores in the central fluid module and the suction seat module and bound by a conventional threaded nut. Packing box modules are bound to the central fluid module by bolts that also pass through separate bores in the same central module. A suction valve spring retainer/plunger spacer within the plunger bore of the assembly shields the intersection of the plunger bore and the discharge bore from destructive erosion damage.
Pump unit for feeding fuel, preferably diesel fuel, to an internal combustion engine
A pump unit for feeding fuel, preferably diesel fuel, to an internal combustion engine; the pump unit (1) comprising: a head (4) inside which a cylinder (12) extending along an axis (A1) is formed; a pumping piston (5) extending along the axis (A1) and slidingly coupled with the cylinder (12); a through-hole (13) which extends from the cylinder (12) towards the outside of the pump unit (1); an intake chamber (8) communicating with the cylinder (12) via the hole (13); an intake valve (7) which controls the flow of fuel from the intake chamber (8) to the hole (13); a cap (23; 123; 223) which is connected to the head (4), is arranged on the opposite side to the pumping piston (5) and can be selectively fixed along an outer surface (25) of the head (4) so as to close the intake chamber (8) on one side.
