Compositions and methods for reducing greenhouse gas
Provided herein are consumable compositions for methane reduction in ruminants comprising a haloalkane and a medium chain triglyceride (MCT). The use of MCT in the consumable compositions has been found to enhance the anti-methanogenic effect of the consumable compositions in ruminants. Also provided herein are methods of preparing the consumable composition and methods of administering the consumable compositions to ruminants.

MITIGATION OF CRYPTOSPORIDIOSIS USING HYDROGEN PEROXIDE-GENERATING COMPOSITIONS
Compositions for preventing or decreasing cryptosporidiosis include sources of hydrogen peroxide and are fed to animals. The animals may be neonatal calves and the cryptosporidiosis may be caused by Cryptosporidium parvum. Methods of preventing or decreasing cryptosporidiosis in animals by feeding the hydrogen peroxide-generating compositions to the animals are also disclosed. Some disclosed methods reduce the number of Cryptosporidium oocysts shed by an infected animal or reduce the infectivity of Cryptosporidium oocysts shed by an infected animal. Some methods include feeding the hydrogen peroxide-generating compositions to animals ultimately afflicted with cryptosporidiosis, and the animals gain weight despite the infection.
Lactose-containing product in powder form and production process thereof
A product in powder form having a dry matter content of at least 90% by weight on its total weight and containing lactose in a quantity of at least 85% by weight on its total weight, as well as having a high bulk density; moreover a process for the production of this product in powder form is disclosed, comprising the steps of vacuum-concentrating a lactose-containing liquid, mixing the so-concentrated liquid with a lactose-containing powder and with a high dry matter content and, finally, drying the so-obtained powdered mixture.

The present invention relates to a new composition comprising hydrolyzed alpha-s1-casein and a fish protein hydrolysate, its manufacturing process and the use of the composition in a food supplement, in solid or liquid form, for pets, in particular cats and dogs. Compositions according to the invention are also intended to be administered orally to help animals, preferably pets, in particular dogs or cats, overcome situations generating anxiety disorders, in particular separation-related disorders, and to regain balanced behavior. The present invention finds applications, for example, in the veterinary field, more particularly in the field of veterinary food supplements or snacks, treats or bites for pets, in particular for dogs or cats.
