PUMP AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A PUMP
A pump having a drive unit with an electric motor, a hydraulic unit connected to the electric motor, and an integrated control unit operatively connected to the electric motor and configured for monitoring and controlling the pump. An integrated pressure sensor, connected to the control unit, has a fixed reference pressure. The control unit determines a liquid level of a liquid surrounding the pump based on a relation between an actual value of the pressure sensor and a reference value. A method for calibrating the pump comprises initiating pumping, continuing pumping until the liquid level is equal to a predetermined calibration level, determining the actual pressure value when the liquid level is equal to the predetermined calibration level, and calibrating the pump by setting a new reference pressure value corresponding to the actual pressure value.
LIQUID PRESSURIZING APPARATUS AND UREA SYNTHESIS PLANT
A liquid pressurizing apparatus, comprises a tank provided on a device installation surface for storing liquid so that a fluid level is located above the device installation surface; and a vertical pump including a suction port connected to the tank, multi-stage impellers arranged in a vertical direction, and a discharge port for discharging the liquid passing through the multi-stage impellers. The multi-stage impellers include a first stage impeller positioned at the lowest part of the multi-stage impellers and being configured such that the liquid from the suction port flows into the first stage impeller. The first stage impeller is disposed below the device installation surface.
Subsea assembly
A subsea assembly comprising an electric subsea machine having an electric motor driving an operator, and a coolant circuit at least partially located in thermal contact with the electric motor, the coolant circuit including a cooling assembly located externally from the subsea machine, the cooling assembly comprising at least a heat transfer element, the subsea machine and the cooling assembly being supported by a common supporting frame; at least a part of the heat transfer element is integrated in the frame.
HORIZONTAL AUTOMATIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMP
A horizontal automatic submersible pump includes a capacitive liquid level sensor, a circuit board and a motor. The capacitive liquid level sensor is arranged inside a casing of the horizontal automatic submersible pump. The capacitive liquid level sensor is configured to detect a liquid level outside the casing of the horizontal automatic submersible pump. The output terminal of the capacitive liquid level sensor is connected to the input terminal of the circuit board. The control terminal of the motor is connected to the output terminal of the circuit board. The circuit board is configured to control the motor to work or stop according to a detection signal of the capacitive liquid level sensor. The horizontal automatic submersible pump starts and stops automatically, and the capacitive liquid level sensor means there are fewer moving parts, which makes the pump less expensive to manufacture, more dependable and longer lasting.
One-way clutch drive shaft coupling in submersible well pump assembly
An electrical submersible pump assembly for pumping well fluid from a well has a motor and a pump. The motor having a motor shaft that drives a pump shaft of the pump. A thrust bearing unit between the motor and the pump has a thrust bearing shaft that rotates a thrust runner in sliding engagement with a non-rotating thrust bearing base. A pump shaft coupling couples the thrust bearing shaft with the pump shaft. A motor shaft coupling couples the thrust bearing shaft with the motor shaft. At least one of the couplings has a one-way clutch that allows forward direction rotation of the thrust bearing shaft and prevents reverse direction rotation.
MULTIPHASE PUMP
A multiphase pump for conveying a multiphase process fluid includes a pump housing, a stationary diffuser, a rotor and swirl brake. The rotor is arranged in the pump housing and is rotatable about an axial direction, the rotor including a pump shaft and an impeller fixedly mounted on the pump shaft. The stationary diffuser is arranged adjacent to and downstream of the impeller. The impeller includes a blade with the blade having a radially outer tip, and a ring surrounding the impeller and arranged at the radially outer tip of the blade. A passage is between the ring and a stationary part configured to be stationary with respect to the pump housing, the passage extending in the axial direction from an entrance to a discharge. The swirl brake is disposed at the passage, and configured and arranged to brake swirling of the process fluid passing through the passage.
Multistage centrifugal pump with compression bulkheads
A multistage centrifugal pump includes an upstream housing and a downstream housing. The upstream housing and the downstream housing each have a first end, a second end and a plurality of turbomachinery stages. Each of the plurality of turbomachinery stages includes a diffuser and an impeller. A compression bulkhead is connected between the second end of the upstream housing and the first end of the downstream housing. The compression bulkhead applies a compressive force to the diffusers within the upstream housing.
DOUBLE SUCTION PUMP
A disclosed submersible pump apparatus includes a three-dimensional frame, a pump housing, a drive shaft, an impeller, and first and second motors. The impeller is mounted on the driveshaft within the pump housing and is driven by one or both of the motors. The first motor is connected to a first end of the drive shaft and the second motor connected a second end of the drive shaft. The first and second motors are hydraulic motors and in a first configuration, the first and second motors are configured to cooperatively rotate the drive shaft with hydraulic fluid supplied to and removed from the first and second motors using a parallel fluidic connection. In a second configuration, only one of the motors has a drive gear and drives the drive shaft while the second motor does not have a drive gear and acts as a frictionless bearing supporting the drive shaft.
MAGNETIC THRUST LOAD SUPPORT FOR DOWNHOLE-TYPE SYSTEM
A downhole-type system includes a rotatable shaft; a sensor that can sense an axial position of the shaft and generate a first signal corresponding to the axial position of the shaft; a controller coupled to the sensor, in which the controller can receive the first signal generated by the sensor, determine an amount of axial force to apply to the shaft to maintain a target axial position of the shaft, and transmit a second signal corresponding to the determined amount of axial force; and multiple magnetic thrust bearings coupled to the shaft and the controller, in which each magnetic thrust bearing can receive the second signal from the controller and modify a load, corresponding to the second signal, on the shaft to maintain the target axial position of the shaft.
CHEMICAL SEQUESTRATION OF WELLBORE FLUIDS IN ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMP SYSTEMS
An electric submersible pump includes a pump, an electric motor that is coupled to the pump by a rotatable shaft, a seal section that is positioned between the pump and the electric motor. The seal section contains an additive and a motor oil for the electric motor. The additive includes one or more superabsorbent polymers or imidate salts to contact the motor oil and to react with a wellbore fluid from a wellbore to prevent premature failure of the electric submersible pump from the wellbore fluid contamination of the motor oil.
