FLUID-DYNAMIC PUMP FOR AQUARIUMS
A fluid-dynamic pump which is suitable for circulating water in an aquarium includes a rotary device, an electric motor configured to move the rotary device, a pump body which houses a printed circuit board which that controls the electric motor and a temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the water of the aquarium. The temperature sensor is positioned on the pump body.
LIQUID CIRCULATOR
A circulator is described that is configured to circulate liquids such as water, chemical mixtures, suspensions and the like. The circulator has an oscillation shaft disposed within, for example concentrically disposed within, a support tube that is used to mount the circulator to a support structure. Locating the oscillation shaft within the support tube makes the circulator more compact, achieves better alignment of the oscillation shaft and the support tube, and makes the circulator stronger compared to a circulator where the oscillation shaft is not disposed within a support tube. In one embodiment, the circulator can be used to create a continuous flow of water in a body of water including around marinas, areas around docks, and waterfronts.
Pump assembly and related methods
In one aspect, a pump is provided comprising a motor configured to rotate a shaft that is operably coupled to an impeller. The impeller is housed within a fluid chamber having an inlet and a discharge in fluid communication with the inlet. The fluid chamber further includes an outlet in a top portion thereof for venting air within the fluid chamber when the impeller is rotated by the motor. In other forms, a pump assembly is provided with an internal float switch integrated into the pump housing.
Systems and processes for aligning permanent magnet motors in an electric submersible pump
The present invention relates to electric submersible pumps that have two or more permanent magnet motors and more specifically to such systems wherein permanent magnet motors are aligned using phase and pole alignment marks.
Electric submersible pump with reduced vibration
An electric submersible pump (ESP) with reduced vibration is provided. In an implementation, an ESP section has radial bearings placed at shaft locations of reduced vibration to reduce wear. The locations of reduced vibration are selected to avoid areas of high vibration and vibrational waves that reinforce each other due to structure resonance and natural excitation frequencies. In an implementation, a radial bearing is positioned at a node of reduced vibration of a standing vibrational wave. In an implementation, a succession of multiple radial bearings are spaced at different intervals from each other to avoid conventional even spacing of the bearings that causes standing waves, resonance waves, and vibrational waves at natural excitation frequencies. In an implementation, a span between adjacent radial bearings is selected to spare other adjacent bearings at different spans the effects of vibrations that may extend over a range of excitation frequencies in the ESP section.
Elastomeric seal bag protector
A downhole tool includes an electric submersible pump to pump a well fluid to a surface of a borehole. The downhole tool includes a motor to power the electric submersible pump and a seal section to protect the motor from the well fluid. The seal section includes an elastomeric bag and a clamp at each end of the elastomeric bag to secure the elastomeric bag. The seal section includes an elastomeric bag protector secured around each clamp, wherein the elastomeric bag protector extends axially beyond a respective clamp to surround a tapered portion of the elastomeric bag above and below the clamp, and wherein the elastomeric bag protector has a sloped inner diameter that matches a profile of the tapered portion.
Modular labyrinth seal system usable with electric submersible pumps
A labyrinth section for a submersible pump includes an outer housing having a coupling sealingly engaged at each longitudinal end of the outer housing. An inner tube is sealingly engaged at each end to one of the couplings to define a sealed annular space. A plurality of labyrinth tube sections are disposed in the annular space, each comprising labyrinth tubes engaged with end plates. A plurality of the labyrinth tube sections enable movement of fluid through the labyrinth tubes, spaces external to the labyrinth tubes and between the end plates to fill the annular space. One of the labyrinth tube sections constrains fluid to move only within the labyrinth tubes and wherein the inner tube between the end plates of the one of the labyrinth tubes comprises a fluid port into an interior of the inner tube.
Electrical submersible pump (ESP) seal section service-less flange
An electric submersible pump (ESP) seal section assembly. The assembly comprises a seal section filled with dielectric oil; a coupling body partially inserted into the seal section, and a coupling body, wherein the coupling body is substantially cylindrical and has a first outside diameter at an upper end of the coupling body, has a second outside diameter smaller than the first diameter below the first outside diameter, has a circumferential tapered shoulder between the portion of the coupling body having the first diameter and the portion of the coupling body having the second diameter; a service-less flange coupled to the seal section, wherein the service-less flange defines a circumferential opening having a circumferential tapered shoulder on an upper edge that contacts the circumferential tapered shoulder of the coupling body.
Integrated sump pump controller with status notifications
A sump pump system having a primary pump, a fluid level sensor, and a primary controller electrically connected to the primary pump for activating the pump when the fluid level sensor indicates a predetermine fluid level has been reached, the primary controller having a primary interface for communicating with a secondary pump. In some forms, the system includes a secondary pump having a secondary controller electrically connected to the secondary pump and having a secondary interface, the primary and secondary interfaces allowing the primary and secondary pump controllers to communicate with one another and allowing at least one of the primary and secondary pump controllers to assume control of both the primary and secondary pump. Related methods are further described herein.
