Variable gap between impeller rotor and static structure
An assembly is provided for a turbine engine. This assembly includes a static structure and an impeller rotor housed within the static structure. The impeller rotor includes a vane structure and a shroud. The vane structure includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall and a plurality of vanes arranged circumferentially about a rotational axis. The vanes include a first vane. The first vane includes a first portion, a second portion and a third portion. The first portion is axially between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The second portion is radially between the first sidewall and the shroud. The third portion is radially between the second sidewall and the shroud. The shroud circumscribes the vane structure. A gap is formed by and extends between the shroud and the static structure. A dimension of the gap changes as the gap extends along the shroud.
HOUSING ELEMENT FOR A PUMP AND PUMP/HOUSING ELEMENT COMBINATION
A housing element for a pump or of a pump has a housing inner wall defining a flow channel for a fluid medium extending along a central axis. The cross section of the flow channel is greater in a main flow direction and the housing inner wall has a surface structure configured such that it counteracts a return flow counter to the main flow direction along the housing inner wall of the fluid medium. The housing element can act as a pump housing and be combined with a pump.
FAN IMPELLER WITH THIN BLADES
An impeller for use in a fan system includes a hub extending along an axis of rotation and having a hub outer surface. There also are a plurality of blades extending radially outwardly of the hub outer surface. The blades have a unique cross-section at several different locations that result in relatively thin blades. A fan system and method are also disclosed.
CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR
A centrifugal compressor having a stator which is designed as an inlet stator, in particular for a compressor, with at least one vane having a vane airfoil around which a fluid can flow, with a plurality of vanes arranged in the form of a ring, with an adjustment device for adjusting the vane, wherein a curvature of a profile center line of the vane airfoil has at least one inflection point.
IMPELLER, CENTRIFUGAL FLUID MACHINE, AND FLUID DEVICE
An impeller is provided with: a disk rotating about an axis; and a plurality of blades provided on the disk at intervals in a circumferential direction about the axis. Thicknesses of the blades gradually decrease from a disk side toward a tip side, and a decrease rate of the thicknesses gradually decreases from the disk side toward the tip side.
IMPELLER DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING METHOD WITH PENTAGONAL CHANNEL GEOMETRY
An impeller includes a body with an interior channel extending through the body along a centerline axis of the impeller. A plurality of blades is connected to the body on a forward end of the impeller centerline axis. The plurality of blades surrounds the interior channel and is fluidly connected to an array of inlets. An array of pentagonal channels extends through the body and radially outward in a spiral pattern. Each pentagonal channel is fluidly connected to a corresponding vane inlet and a corresponding pentagonal-shaped outlet. Each channel maintains a pentagonal cross-section shape from the inlet to the outlet. Each downward-sloping face of the cross section is more than 35 degrees from a horizontal plane perpendicular to the centerline axis of the impeller.
Catheter device
The catheter device comprises a drive shaft connected to a motor, and a rotor mounted on the drive shaft at the distal end section. The rotor has a frame structure which is formed by a screw-like boundary frame and rotor struts extending radially inwards from the boundary frame. The rotor struts are fastened to the drive shaft by their ends opposite the boundary frame. Between the boundary frame and the drive shaft extends an elastic covering. The frame structure is made of an elastic material such that, after forced compression, the rotor unfolds automatically.
Efficient fan assembly
A fan assembly includes an internal housing having an outer internal housing, and an inner internal housing partially disposed within the outer internal housing. The inner internal housing defines an internal cavity, and has a curved exterior surface. Stator blades extend between the inner internal housing and the outer internal housing.
IMPELLER ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN AN AQUARIUM FILTER PUMP AND METHODS
An impeller for use in an aquarium filter pump includes a shaft and a plurality of impeller blades radially extending from the shaft. Each of the impeller blades includes opposite blade faces. A depression is in each of the blade faces and aids in pushing the water. The depression can be a variety of shapes and can have its deepest portion along one of the edges of the blade.
Impeller for centrifugal pump and use thereof when pumping drill fluid containing cuttings
An impeller for a centrifugal pump for pumping fluid containing solid particles includes: a rear side wall; a front side wall; a plurality of vanes located between the rear side wall and the front side wall, each vane having an outer edge and a vane width in an axial direction of the impeller. At least one of a periphery of the rear side wall or a periphery of the front side wall projects by a radial distance beyond the outer edges of the vanes, the radial distance being at least 0.5 times the vane width.
