The present invention provides a fan motor which includes a housing, a stator disposed inside the housing, a rotor disposed inside the stator, a blade coupled to the rotor and a printed circuit board disposed under the blade, wherein the housing includes an upper housing and a lower housing, wherein a board coupling portion to which the printed circuit board is coupled is disposed concavely formed at a lower outer surface of the lower housing, and the first mounting portion of the printed circuit board is coupled to the board coupling portion, wherein the board coupling portion includes a component hole and the component hole is disposed between an outer circumferential surface of the blade and an inner circumferential surface thereof. Therefore, an advantageous effect that a component having a large height may be mounted within a limited design height.

The present invention discloses fan system, which includes a volute having a front cover, a rear cover and an annular wall connected between the front cover and the rear cover: an impeller disposed inside the volute, and a motor; the front cover has an air inlet facing downward in the state when the fan system is mounted; the motor includes a motor body and an edge; the edge is connected to the rear cover at the side of the rear cover facing the air inlet. A blower has a blower housing of clamshell construction, including two housing members having a scroll back wall molded with radial draft, an impeller and a motor within the housing, and a static tap connected to the housing. The impeller has a backplate with a backplate back surface region of substantially the same radially converging shape as that of a front surface region of the scroll back wall formed by the radial draft, providing a substantially uniform axial gap between the backplate back surface region and the scroll back wall. The impeller has a ring connected by a skirt to the back plate to define a stepped area behind the ring. The impeller includes impeller blades extending forwardly from the impeller backplate and the ring and back fins extending rearwardly from the ring. The blower has a scroll width of about twice an impeller exhaust width.

The assembly can include an impeller motor configured to rotate the impeller blades about an axis of rotation. A stator can be positioned within the outer housing between the impeller and the outlet of the outer housing. The stator can include a plurality of vanes. The stator vanes can include an upstream edge at the upstream end of the stator, a first surface extending from the upstream edge to the downstream edge of the vane, and a second surface opposite the first surface and extending from the upstream edge to the downstream edge of vane. A plurality of the vanes can have a downstream edge at the outlet of the outer housing.

A blower assembly for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a centrifugal fan having a fan wheel. A plurality of blades are coupled to the fan wheel at an inner blade boundary and extend radially to an outer blade boundary. The blower assembly includes a first housing panel and a second housing panel disposed on opposite sides of the centrifugal fan and extending transverse to the centrifugal fan. The blower assembly includes a wall extending between the first housing panel and the second housing panel and a flange extending from the wall at a vertex. The flange extends outwardly from the wall. A first radial distance from the vertex to the outer blade boundary is between 4 percent and 20 percent of a second radial distance from a rotational axis of the centrifugal fan to the outer blade boundary.
