Ceramic turbine volute
A gas turbine and nozzle system is provided that includes a radial inflow turbine rotor and a volute providing a flow path to deliver a pressurized gas to a circumference of the radial turbine rotor. The volute incorporates a shape which substantially conforms to a radial turbine shroud contour. The volute includes at least first and second parts. A mating surface between the first and second parts is substantially aligned with a direction of pressurized gas flow in the volute.
Composite Metal Component And Method Of Producing Same
A method of producing a composite metal article and/or a composite metal wear component. The method including the following steps: casting a component composed of a host metal composition wherein one or more cavities are formed in the component during casting; inserting a wear resistant composition in solid form into the one or more cavities formed in the component composed of the host metal composition; and, bonding the wear resistant composition into the one or more cavities of the component composed of the host metal composition to form the composite metal article.
PLASTIC PUMP, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A plastic pump comprises a complete body having an inner body made of a fluorine resin and an outer body made of a plastic material by molding the plastic material in a first mold after fixing a pre-manufactured inner body to the first mold, an impeller made of a fluorine resin material by means of injection molding, and an impeller cover made of a plastic material by molding the plastic material in a second mold to protect the impeller, and a fluid transporting path is lined with the fluorine resin of the inner body.
CASING FOR PREVENTING DISTORTION AND PUMP INCLUDING THE SAME
Various pumps capable of preventing distortion are disclosed. A casing of the pump comprises a metal member configured to have at least two sub metal members and a body. Here, the sub metal members are included in the body, and the body is formed of plastic.
Pump monitoring
Disclosed is a pump system comprising a pump and a sensor. The pump comprises a pump casing defining a pump chamber, an inlet for receipt of flowable material into the chamber, an outlet for discharge of flowable material from the chamber, and an impeller disposed within the pump chamber to accelerate flowable material within the pump chamber. The pump also comprises a transition region extending between an inner peripheral surface of the pump chamber and an inner peripheral surface of the outlet, the transition region configured in use to divert flowable material accelerated by the impeller to the outlet. The vibration sensor is mounted to the pump casing and arranged in use to detect vibration of the transition region.
Casing for a turbomachine
A casing for a subsea compressor comprises a main body having a central axis; a plurality of interconnection flanges attached to the main body; wherein the main body comprises an inner layer made of corrosion resistant material; an outer layer applied over the inner layer and made of a composite material; wherein the outer layer extends along the entire length of said main body.
Pump liner
A pump liner for a centrifugal pump wherein the pump liner comprises a main pumping chamber, an inlet to the main pumping chamber and a discharge outlet extending from the main pumping chamber, wherein the pump liner is formed from at least two elastomeric compounds including a first compound and a second compound, the first compound having a different hardness to the second compound and wherein the liner is composed of the second compound at locations which in use are subject to erosive, impingement and/or directional wear.
Composite suction liners and applications thereof
Composite suction liners and associated centrifugal pump architectures are described herein which, in some embodiments, provide enhanced operating lifetimes under abrasive slurry conditions. For example, a composite suction liner includes a suction liner substrate and a monolithic cladding metallurgically bonded to a face of the suction liner substrate, the monolithic cladding comprising metal matrix composite including a hard particle phase dispersed in matrix metal or alloy.
PUMPING AND COMMINUTION DEVICE, METHOD OF COMMINUTING AND HEATING AN INFLOW MATERIAL, AND USE OF SAME
A pumping and comminution device is disclosed that includes at least one submersible pump located in a container that is suitable for receiving and inflow material and a drive for driving the submersible pump. In said device, the at least one submersible pump comprises an impeller located in a submersible pump housing, said submersible pump housing having a suction connection for suctioning the inflow material into the submersible pump. Tools are located on the inner face of the submersible pump housing and/or the impeller, allowing solids contained in the inflow material to be comminuted.
Centrifugal pump and method of adjusting the distance of the wear plate from the impeller of a centrifugal pump
A centrifugal pump for lifting clean water or water with suspended solids includes a hollow body having a front opening, a volute with a delivery port, and an impeller accommodated in the body and designed to be coupled to a motor, with blades tips substantially coplanar at an annular peripheral area. A cover of the front opening includes a flange, an annular wear plate, rigidly joined to the flange and located at a predetermined axial distance from an annular peripheral area of the impeller, and an adjustment system, mounted onto the flange and accessible from the outside, to controllably adjust the axial distance of the wear plate, and to both calibrate the axial position of the wear plate and lock the wear plate in the calibrated position. A method of adjusting the axial distance of the wear plate from an impeller in a centrifugal pump is also disclosed.
