A transition piece for a wind turbine tower including a hollow frustoconical piece that is connected to an upper ring and a lower ring. The upper ring is connected to crossbars and the lower ring to radial columns. The transition piece also includes three connectors, each of them being connected to a crossbar, two radial columns and two connection profiles that keep the three connectors joined together, so that a pair of radial columns is arranged between a connector and the lower ring and the crossbars are arranged between the upper ring and a respective connector. The radial columns form an angle of between 65° and 75°, measured between the longitudinal axis of the corresponding radial column with the normal axis of the frustoconical piece.

Each leg is bolted to the transition piece, which comprises one or more cast transition piece segments, a floor, a centrally arranged entrance configured to allow access to the transition piece for staff and/or equipment, and one connection portion for each leg. Each connection portion is attached to a leg at a joint arranged at a level below the level of the floor of the transition piece.

The device includes a cowl at least partially surrounding said turbine assembly and defining an airflow passageway between a cowl inlet and outlet, having an inlet and outlet axis, respectively. The inlet and outlet axis intersect at a redirect angle. The device includes a base platform adapted to support the turbine assembly and cowl on the water. The cowl is rotatably mounted on the base platform such that it is rotatable around the turbine assembly to self-align with a wind direction. Stabilising arms extend from the base platform and are spaced circumferentially around a platform axis, to stabilise it on the water. A wind-energy-power-generating device secured to the ground or other fixed non-floating structure is also described.

The piston reciprocates through a wall of the container to alternately increase and decrease the pressure in the liquid. The ball valve periodically interrupts the pressurized liquid flow to alternately increase and decrease the pressure in the liquid. In either case, the alternate increase and decrease in the pressure in the liquid creates pressure variations in the piezoelectric material.

The energy generating unit houses a facility which requires a particular orientation relative to gravity for being operational. Furthermore, the energy generating unit comprises an adaptation structure e.g. arranged between the load carrying structure and the facility. The adaptation structure facilitates a first configuration with a first position of the facility relative to the load carrying structure, and a second configuration with a second position of the facility relative to the load carrying structure.

Foundation for a tower of a wind turbine with at least three columns. The foundation includes a reinforced concrete pile corresponding to each of the tower columns. According to one embodiment the pile includes a bolt cage and a main reinforcement formed by a cylindrical framework made up of horizontal rings interconnected by vertical bars. The bolt cage is arranged inside the main reinforcement radially at a distance of less than 0.1 meters. Each of the piles resides in a hole formed in the ground. Concrete is not poured into the holes until the main reinforcements and bolt cages are placed therein and aligned with one another.
