Automatically actuated shunt valve system
An automatically actuated shunt valve system opens and closes a passage between two chambers of a powered element operated by a power source. The shunt valve system includes a coupler connecting the powered element with the power source through two mating coupling elements. One of the coupling elements includes a valve contact and the other includes a shunt valve assembly. The shunt valve assembly includes a valve chamber connected with both chambers of the powered element, a valve element opening or closing a flow path between the conduits, and a shaft for moving the valve element. The shaft engages the valve contact to move the valve element to close the flow path when the coupling elements are mated together, and moves the valve element to open the flow path when the shaft disengages from the valve contact as the coupling elements are disconnected from one another.
ARRANGEMENTS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLED FLOW RATE OF PNEUMATIC ACTUATED VALVES
An actuator includes a housing defining an inlet port, a piston and a return spring disposed within the housing, and an elastically deformable element. The return spring is configured to apply a biasing force to the piston to move the piston to a spring return position. A first fluid pressure applied to the inlet port moves the piston against the biasing force of the return spring to a first actuated position in which the piston indirectly engages a stop portion of the actuator housing. A second fluid pressure, greater than the first fluid pressure, applied to the inlet port moves the piston against the elastically deformable element to compress the elastically deformable element to move the piston to a second actuated position beyond the first actuated position.
Flow maximizer
A hose end regulator for regulating pressure in fluid includes a main body having a fluid inlet and fluid outlet. A poppet moves between an open position to permit fluid to flow through the fluid outlet and a closed position to militate against fluid flowing through the fluid outlet. A primary spring permits the poppet to move between the open position and the closed position. A flow maximizer minimizes movement of the primary spring until a predetermined fluid pressure is reached within the main outer body.
Control valve compensation system
A Control Valve Compensation System for producing both a pre-compensated and a post-compensated load sensing hydraulic directional control valve module, wherein both configurations use the same components except for a sliding compensating component. The Control Valve Compensation System generally includes a hydraulic directional control valve housing which is adapted to be easily-interchangeable between a load sensing pre-compensated pressure configuration and a load sensing post-compensated pressure configuration by simply removing and replacing a different compensator assembly within the housing. The compensator assembly is adapted to direct oil flow through the housing while simultaneously providing compensation for the valve function. Directional valve assemblies may be provided, with the valve assemblies functioning to provide post-compensated functions, pre-compensated functions, and mixed pre- and post-compensated functions. These directional valve functions can be re-configured in the field by simply swapping the compensator assemblies to produce the desired functionality of the end-user at that particular time.
Hydraulic boost valve
A hydraulic boost valve includes a housing, a valve seat, and a piston. The housing defines an axially extending internal cavity, a slot that extends radially outward from the internal cavity within the housing, and an outlet port that establishes fluid communication between the slot and a fluid output circuit. The valve seat is secured to an end of the housing. The valve seat defines first and second orifices. The first orifice establishes fluid communication between a fluid input circuit and the outlet port via the slot. The second orifice establishes fluid communication between the fluid input circuit and the fluid output circuit. The piston is disposed within the internal cavity such that the slot is positioned between the piston and an external wall of the housing.
HYDRAULIC VALVE AND SYSTEM
An apparatus includes a hydraulic circuit that is configured to selectively open fluid communication between one portion of the hydraulic circuit and another portion of the hydraulic circuit, such as a reservoir, based on the flow of the hydraulic fluid in the one portion. When the flow of hydraulic fluid exceeds a selected threshold in the one portion of the hydraulic circuit, the flow of fluid urges the opening of a hydraulic component of the hydraulic circuit to allow fluid communication between the one portion and the reservoir to discharge fluid from the one portion.
Proportional flow control and counterbalance valve having single seat configuration
An example valve includes: a first port configured to be fluidly coupled to an actuator; a second port configured to be fluidly coupled to a reservoir; a third port configured to provide an output pilot fluid signal and receive an input pilot fluid signal; a fourth port configured to be fluidly coupled to a source of fluid; a pilot poppet configured to be subjected to a first fluid force of fluid received at the first port and configured to be subjected to a second fluid force of the input pilot fluid signal; a solenoid actuator sleeve that is axially movable between an unactuated state and an actuated state; and at least one setting spring configured to apply a biasing force on the pilot poppet.
Systems and methods for selective enablement of hydraulic operation
A hydraulic system is provided. The hydraulic system includes a pump, a load sense conduit, a tank conduit, a function workport, and a function control valve. The hydraulic system further includes a function poppet valve arranged between the function workport and the function control valve and having a function poppet vent passage, and a system control valve arranged downstream of the function control valve. The system control valve is biased into a first position where fluid communication between the function poppet vent passage and the tank conduit is prevented and fluid communication between the load sense conduit and the tank conduit is provided. The system control valve is selectively movable to a second position where fluid communication between the function poppet vent passage and the tank conduit is allowed and fluid communication between the load sense conduit and the tank conduit is prevented.
Valve with gradual flow area changes
An example valve includes: (i) a valve body defining a longitudinal cavity, where the valve body includes a supply inlet and an operating outlet; (ii) a cage disposed in the longitudinal cavity, where the cage includes (a) a first opening fluidly coupled to the supply outlet, and (b) a second opening fluidly coupled to the operating outlet; and (iii) a spool mounted within the cage and configured to move axially therein. When the valve is actuated, the spool moves within the cage to form a gap, thereby allowing pressurized fluid to flow from the supply inlet through the first opening, the gap, and the second opening to the operating outlet. A flow area defined around an exterior peripheral surface of the spool changes upstream from the gap at a first rate, and changes downstream from the gap at a second rate that is different from the first rate.
HYDROMECHANICAL LINEAR CONVERTER
A hydromechanical linear converter has a cylinder, a piston unit and a seat valve unit. The cylinder and a piston of the piston unit delimit a hydraulic working chamber, into which a working connection and a further fluid connection open, and has a supply connection 10. The valve unit switches between a first position connecting the supply connection to the fluid connection and a second position blocking the fluid connection from the supply connection. The linear converter includes a valve housing with a valve seat 16, a valve body with a valve head cooperating with the seat, a spring unit preloading the valve body into a position corresponding to the first position and an electromagnetic actuator 14 acting on the valve body 12 by purely mechanical action, to move the valve body against the force of the spring unit into a position corresponding to the second switching position.
