MAGNETORHEOLOGICAL FLUID LOCKING SYSTEM
A system, including a magnetorheological (MR) fluid locking system, including a housing, a piston disposed in the housing, wherein the piston is configured to move axially within the housing, an MR fluid disposed in the housing, an MR fluid pump fluidly coupled to the housing, wherein the MR fluid pump is configured to pump the MR fluid into the housing, and an electromagnet configured to magnetize the MR fluid to control axial movement of the piston.
LINEAR ACTUATOR
A linear actuator includes a housing, a piston rod having a longitudinal axis (A-A) and at least one locking arrangement. The piston rod is axially moveable in a first direction (D1) relative to the housing to extend the piston rod and is axially moveable in a second direction (D2) relative to the housing to retract the piston rod. The piston rod is rotatable about the longitudinal axis relative to the housing between an operational state and a locking state. Each locking arrangement includes a piston rod flange extending from the piston rod and a housing flange extending from the housing. When the piston rod is in the operational state, the or each housing flange does not overlap with the or each piston rod flange so as to allow axial movement of the piston rod in the first and second directions.
LOCKING SLEEVE FOR AN ACTUATOR
The present disclosure relates to a device for locking an actuator, preferably a locking sleeve, having two half-shells that are pivotable relative to one another between an open position and a locking position, which are configured in such a way that, in the locking position, the two half-shells are in abutment with each other at their end faces facing each other. The device does not have a bayonet lock, but a web-and-groove connection.
