The first secondary conductive coil extends axially along at least a first region of the cylinder and the second secondary conductive coil extends axially along at least a second region of the cylinder, and wherein the primary conductive coil extends axially along at least a central region of the cylinder between the first region and the second region.

A hydraulic component for vehicles, such as for maritime applications, is a hydraulic cylinder-piston unit. The piston of the hydraulic component has a piston rod with a measurement section. A magnetic rod in the piston rod extends over the measurement section. The magnetic rod has a helically varied magnetic field direction. The hydraulic component includes a sensor device having a scanning region measuring the field direction. The sensor device is arranged such that, over the entire stroke path of the piston, at least a part of the magnetic rod is located in the scanning region. The sensor device has a sensor unit configured to transmit measurement results for the field direction to a processing unit, configured to process and output the measurement results. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a hydraulic adjustment system having at least one hydraulic component and a vehicle having at least one hydraulic adjustment system.

A module for detecting the angular position of the drive shaft of a valve includes a printed circuit proximate a drive shaft of a valve body, or of an extension element thereof or a motor shaft of a valve actuator. The module also includes a magnet(s) fastened to the drive shaft, a magnetic sensor(s) supported on the printed circuit, and a communication interface. The magnetic sensor(s) generate an electrical signal indicating the position of the magnet(s). The communication interface remotely transmits a corresponding reading. The acquisition of the reading can be carried out at pre-set time intervals, which can be managed according to the requirements of the production process. The detection module is free of wired connections with the outside. A valve and an adapter element are also provided with the module, and a method for detecting the open state of the valve remotely by the module.

DILATANT FLUID BASED OBJECT MOVEMENT CONTROL MECHANISM

A head unit device for controlling motion of an object includes a chamber filled with a shear thickening fluid (STF) and a piston. The piston is housed within the chamber and exerts pressure against the STF from a force applied to the piston from the object. The STF is configured to have a decreasing viscosity in response to a first range of shear rates and an increasing viscosity in response to a second range of shear rates. The piston includes at least one piston bypass between opposite sides of the piston that controls flow of the STF between the opposite sides of the piston to selectively react with a shear threshold effect of the first range of shear rates or the second range of shear rates.

DEVICE FOR DETECTING ELONGATION OF HYDRAULIC CYLINDER

A device for detecting the elongation of a hydraulic cylinder includes an electric signal conversion device, a ruler and a positional magnetic ring. The electric signal conversion device is disposed at the bottom of a cylinder barrel. The ruler has an end fixedly connected to the electric signal conversion device, as well as the other end movably extending into a piston rod. The positional magnetic ring is fixedly connected to a piston and the positional magnetic is movably disposed around the periphery of the ruler. When the positional magnetic ring is located at different positions of the ruler, different circuits are turned on to transmit a voltage or current signal corresponding to the positions of the ruler to the electric signal conversion device, so as to obtain a position of the positional magnetic ring on the ruler, such that the elongation of the piston rod is obtained.

The cylinder is characterised in that it comprises a position sensor (38) comprising a sensor head (39), a sensor rod (40) which is secured to the sensor head (39) and around which a magnet (41) is fitted, and a connector (42) connected to said sensor head (39).
