Hydraulic drive system

A hydraulic drive system includes: a first hydraulic pump of the variable capacitance type; a first regulator including a first proportional valve; a second hydraulic pump that dispenses operating oil; a switch valve; a control device; and a malfunction detection device. The switch valve can switch to a third valve position in which the switch valve allows the operating oil dispensed from both the first hydraulic pump and the second hydraulic pump to be supplied to first and second traveling hydraulic motors and first and second hydraulic actuators. The control device controls the operation of the first proportional valve by outputting a first flow rate command signal to the first proportional valve, and when the malfunction detection device detects a malfunction of an electrical system related to the first proportional valve, the control device switches the switch valve to the third valve position.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR QUANTIFYING PNEUMATIC VOLUME USAGE VIA VALVE CONTROLLERS
20210341327 · 2021-11-04 ·

Methods and apparatus for quantifying pneumatic volume usage via valve controllers are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a valve controller operatively couplable to a pneumatic actuator, the pneumatic actuator being operatively coupled to a control valve. In response to an input signal indicating that a flow control member of the control valve is to be moved in a specified direction, the valve controller commands a current-to-pressure (I/P) converter of the valve controller to pulse a relay valve of the valve controller between a closed position and an open position. The pulsing of the relay valve causes the pneumatic actuator to move the flow control member in the specified direction. The valve controller calculates a pneumatic volume usage associated with the moving of the flow control member in the specified direction. The pneumatic volume usage is based on the pulsing of the relay valve.

Hydraulic system with electronic identifiers

A hose assembly for a hydraulic system is shown. The hose assembly includes a first hose that fluidly couples a pump with a hydraulic actuator using a first port. The first hose includes a first electronic device that provides identification information for the first hose. The hose assembly further includes a second hose that fluidly couples the hydraulic actuator with a reservoir tank using a second port. The second hose includes a second electronic device that provides identification information for the second hose. The hose assembly further includes a controller that receives a first connection signal and a second connection signal. The controller is further configured to determine that the first hose has fluidly coupled using the first port based on the first connection signal and determine that the second hose has fluidly coupled using the second port based on the second connection signal.

Hydraulic drive system

A hydraulic drive system raises and lowers an object by supplying and discharging operating oil to and from each of two ports of an actuator and includes a control device, first to third electromagnetic proportional control valves, a hydraulic pump, a control valve, and a lock valve. When a second pilot pressure is output, the control valve causes the operating oil to be discharged from a first port in order to lower the object. The lock valve is disposed so as to be able to prevent the operating oil from being discharged from the first port by closing a path between the first port and the control valve, and only when a third pilot pressure is output, allows the operating oil to be discharged from the first port by opening the path between the first port and the control valve.
