Photovoltaic module mounting assembly having a pin constraint

A mounting assembly for a photovoltaic (PV) module, and systems including such mounting assemblies, are described. In an example, the mounting assembly includes a top support and a bottom support having respective mounting walls, and holes through the mounting walls. A pin assembly may extend through the holes in the mounting walls to constrain the supports, for example, relative to a torque member of a solar-tracking PV system. The pin assembly may include end collars to engage and distribute loading from the torque member.

A support for a mitre joint uses two wedging mechanisms disposed at a characteristic angle. Each wedging mechanism is arranged to locate inside a hollow rail, such as within an extruded hollow beam. The wedging mechanism can be operated from outside the joint in order to clamp the mechanism in position. The mechanism has a self centering capability to assist in accurately locating the rails relative to each other.

Mounting system, devices, methods and uses thereof

The present specification discloses systems, devices, and methods provide a mounting system which includes rail and a bracket which is selectively secured to the rail. The bracket is selectively and/or automatically locked to the rail when positioned on the rail, and may be removed from the rail by activating one or more buttons or actuators. The disclosed mounting systems, devices, and methods enable a device to be protected from impact and moisture exposure, enable a device to be securely mounted on a base, and/or enable a device to be quickly secured and removed from a base.

Structural Fastener

A U-shaped clamp to attach or snap a conduit or pipe to a slotted structural member. The U-shaped clamp includes a bottom portion, a first side having a first wing connected to the bottom portion; a second side having a second wing connected to the bottom portion thereby forming a U-shaped structure with the first and second sides. The at least one wing snaps into a strut ledge or a rolled edge of the structural member when in an engaged position. The structural member may be a strut or a receiver. The wings engage and snap into curled ends or lips on sides of the strut and thus may adapt the pipe clamp to the strut. Alternatively, the U-shaped clamp may snap into suitably sized strut ledges or a rolled edges on the structural member.

Apparatus for continuously and adjustably subdividing a space

An apparatus for continuously and adjustably subdividing a space. The apparatus contains front and rear rails, each having a rail aperture and a rail channel, a divider panel, and a first fastener and a second fastener that can be inserted into the rail aperture of the front and rear rails, respectively, and can be retained within the rail channel of the front and rear rails, respectively. Widened notches are formed in the rails more than a minimum subspace distance from surface intersections, so that fasteners for subspace-defining structures or subspace-functional elements can be inserted and removed. Preferably, the rails are inset flush with the interior surfaces of the interior space.

A valve support apparatus is disclosed as capable of shifting a valve in a piping system in accordance with the thermal expansion of connected piping. The apparatus includes a valve mount, a slide mount, and a base, wherein the valve mount contains a valve attachment assembly to attach a valve. The valve mount can couple with the slide mount, using a mounting assembly, such that the valve mount is vertically and laterally secured about the slide mount, but the valve mount can move along the longitudinal axis of the slide mount. The slide mount, using another mounting assembly, can couple with the base, such that the slide mount is vertically and laterally secured about the base, but the slide mount can move along the longitudinal axis of the base, which is oriented orthogonally to the longitudinal axis of the slide mount. With this configuration, the stress and other loads exerted on the valve due to thermal expansion can be minimized by allowing the valve to be moved to account for the elongated piping.
