Masonry anchor of the expansion type
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a masonry member comprising an anchor member and a sleeve. The anchor member has a shank with a ridge formed thereon, the ridge extending radially outwardly from and along a surface of the shank generally from a distal end of the anchor member toward a head of the anchor member. The sleeve defines a groove. The sleeve is coaxial with and at least partially surrounds the anchor member such that the ridge of the shank is at least partially received in the groove. A cross-sectional width of at least one of the ridge and the groove reduces in a direction extending toward the head of the anchor member so withdrawal of the anchor member through the sleeve expands at least part of the sleeve radially outwardly.
SAFETY FENCE ASSEMBLY
A modular safety fence assembly is disclosed. The safety fence may include a fence panel assembly having a top rail, a bottom rail, and mesh panel. The safety fence panel assembly may also support post assembly capable of supporting the fence panel assembly and an anchor assembly which may anchor the support post assembly to the floor using one or more relatively shallow holes formed in the floor.
BLIND FASTENER
A blind fastener device for fastening at least two workpieces, including a sleeve, an expander having a tensioning section, a locking section, and an expansion section, and a nut. A portion of the expander passes through the sleeve to cooperate with the nut so that relative rotation of the expander and nut draws the expander's distal end toward the sleeve's proximal end thereby drawing a portion of the expansion section of the expander into a structural region located on the sleeve and expanding at least a portion of the sleeve's structural region, and drawing a portion of the locking section past the sleeve's distal end toward the sleeve's proximal end and deforming at least a portion of the sleeve's distal end to a locked state.
DISTANCE SENSOR AT ANCHOR TIP
A fastening system is provided, including an anchor (1), which has an anchor area (22) in a front area (32) for anchoring the anchor in a hole (99) in a substrate (5), and a load receiving device (18) in a rear area (33) for introducing a tensile force. A sensor (40) is provided for measuring a distance of the front area from a reference position of the substrate. A measuring method, using a fastening system of this type is also provided.
Expansion Anchor
Expansion anchor having an anchor bolt, an expansion sleeve, and a wedge body located in a front region of the anchor bolt for wedging the expansion sleeve, wherein the expansion sleeve has a front face facing the wedge body, wherein at least one expansion slit is provided within the expansion sleeve, wherein the expansion slit has a mouth that is located adjacent to the front face, a stem that adjoins the mouth and a head that adjoins the stem, wherein the head is wider than the stem, and wherein the stem is located between the head and the mouth, wherein the stem is delimited by a first flank and by a second flank, characterized in that the first flank and the second flank are both non-planar throughout, so as to form at least one widening and at least one narrowing along the stem.
FIXING ELEMENT
A fixing element is provided for anchoring in a drilled hole. The fixing element extends along a longitudinal axis and has a shank on which an expansion sleeve is arranged. On the shank there is also arranged a holding element by which the expansion sleeve is connected by frictional engagement to the shank so as to be fixed against relative rotation.
ANCHOR HAVING A WAVE-SHAPED SLEEVE
An anchor having a sleeve, a bolt which passes through the sleeve and at least one expansion element that is positioned in front of the sleeve and that is axially supported on the sleeve, whereby the bolt has an expansion area for the expansion element, is provided. According to the invention, it is provided for the sleeve to have a wavy shape with axial wave peaks in which the outer radius of the sleeve as well as the inner radius of the sleeve each have a maximum, and with wave valleys in which the outer radius of the sleeve as well as the inner radius of the sleeve each have a minimum.
APPARATUS FOR SECURING A TOOL IN AN OPENING AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A locking device (100) is operable to lock a tool (150) in an opening. The locking device includes a base (104) positionable with respect to a lifting member (152) of the tool when a first end of the lifting member is positioned within the opening. The locking device also includes a lift (106) coupled to the base for movement relative to the base. The lift includes an interface portion (110) coupleable to the lifting member such that the lifting member is moveable with the interface portion in an extraction direction of the opening when the lift is moved from a first position to a second position relative to the base.
Post Installation Bracket
A post installation bracket for installing posts on a base such as a concrete slab is provided. The post installation bracket includes a leveling plate with at least one leveling element and an anchoring bolt securing assembly configured to securely receive a first end of an anchoring bolt, a second end of the anchoring bolt distal to the first end securely anchored into the base. The post installation bracket further includes at least one leveling bolt securely fastened to each of the at least one leveling elements, the at least one leveling bolt used to position the leveling plate and post with respect to the base.
Process for installation of anchor devices and apparatus for carrying out such process
The invention concerns a process for installation of an expansion anchor device, which is used to secure a part to the surface of a structural support member. The anchor device comprises an expandable sleeve (1), mainly extending along a longitudinal axis (X-X) with a proximal end (2) and a distal end (3), which is designed to be placed within a hole formed in the structural member that is designed to have the anchor applied thereto. In the process, once the hole has been formed in the support member and said anchor device has been placed in the hole, a step of orienting the sleeve (1) is carried out, such that the expansion of the latter occurs along the highest-resistance direction of the structural support member. The invention also relates to an apparatus for carrying out the process, which comprises a cylindrical bushing (26) having an axial through hole (27), front coupling means (28) located at the end (29) of the bushing facing the sleeve (1) of the anchor device, said means (28) being adapted for engagement with front counter-coupling means (30) placed on the proximal end (2) of the sleeve (1) of the anchor device as well as a handle (31) connected to said bushing (26).
