JOINING SYSTEM AND METHOD
Systems and method are provided for joining components. A pin may have a head, and a stem extending from the head. The stem may have a tapered section. A collar may have a shank with a through-hole. Another tapered section may be formed by the shank so that a tapered surface of the tapered section faces into the through-hole. The pin and the collar may be configured so that the stem is received in the through-hole. The tapered sections mate together, and the tapered surface contacts the tapered section of the stem.
Rivet with improved structure for forming flat-bottom riveting of plates
A rivet with improved structure for forming flat-bottom riveting of plates, which comprises a rivet cover, a rivet shoulder and a rivet body; specifically, the rivet cover is provided with a torque transmission structure and a positioning structure for driving the rivet to rotate; the rivet body comprises an inner cavity of the rivet body, an outer wall of the rivet body and an end of the rivet body; with the present invention, the bottom surface of the joint can be flush with the surface of the connected plates, which facilitates the subsequent processing of the coverage on the bottom surface, reduces the wind resistance coefficient of the joint, and broadens the application range of the process.
RIVETED ASSEMBLY AND ASSOCIATED PRODUCTION METHOD
An assembly (110) comprising a core (113) and at least a first sheet (111) held on one side of the core by a rivet (120), the rivet having two ends (121, 122). At least a first one of these ends (121, 122) is flared in shape and extends at least through the entire thickness of the first sheet (111, 112). A method of fabricating such an assembly, in which: a core (113) and a first sheet (111) are provided; the first sheet (111) is placed on one side of the core (113); and the core (113) and the first sheet (111) are riveted together.
Component holder
A component holder, in particular for aircraft, for indirectly securing components to the fuselage or body shell. The component holder has a base portion and an attachment element which is lockable to the base portion and has a component receiving member arranged thereon. The base portion has a circular shell form, and the upper edge has retention and locking elements. The lockable attachment element has a s dome-like basic structure, and the lower edge region has retention and locking elements which complement those of the base portion and are lockable therewith. The component receiving member is formed integrally on the attachment element and arranged at a dome zenith on the outer side. The dome is formed from at least three frames which are angularly offset on the circumference. The frames extend from the dome lower edge region to the base location of the component receiving member at the dome zenith.
SEALING CLIP FOR SEALING OPENINGS IN PANELS AND METHODS OF USE
A sealing clip includes a body that includes a touch-off structure that extends outward from a side of a cover portion and configured to touch a first face of a panel. A plunger extends through a cover opening through the cover portion of the body, the plunger configured to extend through a panel opening through the panel and includes an enlarged seal at an end of the plunger configured to touch an opposite second face of the panel. The plunger is configured to retract relative to the body once the enlarged seal is inserted through the panel opening. The enlarged seal includes an elastic, flexible material that is configured to flatten toward the second face of the panel as the plunger is retracted relative to the body to a sealed configuration thereby pulling the end of the plunger toward the touch-off portion.
