FLOATING FIXING COMPONENT
20250230827 · 2025-07-17 · ·

A floating fixing component and a mounting method thereof are introduced. The floating fixing component includes at least a stop section and an application section. The stop section is used to abut against an object to prevent the floating fixing component from separating from the object. The floating fixing component and the object have a floating space existed between them, such that the floating fixing component can float and shift on and relative to the object. With these arrangements, the floating fixing component can be mounted to an object while the application section can be fastened to or disconnected from another object. In this manner, at least two objects can be repeatedly and quickly connected to and disconnected from one another.

Connecting Structural Member

CLINCH NUT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ONE SUCH NUT

Method for manufacturing a clinch nut, comprising: cold forging a steel body including a weight percentage of carbon comprised between 0.15% and 0.25% inclusive to form a workpiece including a pliable section designed to deform into a crimping bead and a connection section, applying a heat treatment to the workpiece, and tapping the connection section to form an internal thread.

THERMOPLASTIC FRICTIONAL CONNECTOR
20180169958 · 2018-06-21 ·

The invention relates to a method for producing a component bond (70, 140) comprising: a fastening structure (60, 160) that has at least one component layer (60A, 60a; 160a, 160b); and a thermoplastic connecting element (10, 110) having a head (12, 112) and a shank (14, 114), in which method the connecting element (10, 110) is driven into the fastening structure (60, 160) under pressure whilst rotating, such that the shank (14, 114) penetrates the fastening structure (60, 160). The connecting element (10, 110), after penetrating the fastening structure (60, 160), is converted by friction into a softened, free-flowing state in a die (44, 144) which is placed against the fastening structure (60, 160) in the opposite direction to the driving direction, resulting in a thicker section (22, 22) that extends beyond the radial extent of some sections of the shank (14, 114). The fastening structure (60, 160) is thus interlockingly held between the head (12, 112) and the thicker section (22, 122).

Micro-Standoff for Blind Holes

A standoff fastener for attaching to a blind hole in a metal panel. The fastener has a substantially cylindrical body with a short shank that extends downwardly from the body into the hole. The shank has an inwardly extending collar with a first inwardly facing chamfer on the top and a second outwardly facing chamfer located on the bottom. The body has a shoulder at the bottom with a circular recess adjacent to and encircling the shank. The shank is radially divided into four equal segments which are separated by four radial slots. When the shank is spread outwardly by a center installation punch pressing against the first chamfer, the outer distal edge of the shank is pressed into the side wall of the hole, while an edge at the top of the second chamfer embeds into the end wall of the hole.
