CLINCHING FASTENER PRESS-FITTING METHOD AND FASTENING JIG FOR USE IN THE PRESS-FITTING METHOD
The press-fitting method for press-fitting a plurality of clinching fasteners into a workpiece. The method includes: a drilling step S1 of drilling press-fit holes at press-fitting positions of the workpiece to press-fit first clinching fasteners that are press-fitted from a punch side of a turret punch press by NC control using the turret punch press; a workpiece mounting step S2 of mounting the workpiece so that the workpiece is superposed on a fastening jig that guides the first clinching fasteners; a fastener insertion step S3 of inserting a predetermined number of the first clinching fasteners taken out from a screw feeder into the press-fit holes of the workpiece; a fastener press-fitting step S4 of press-fitting the first clinching fasteners into the press-fit holes of the workpiece by NC control using the turret punch press; and a workpiece removal step S5 of removing the workpiece from the fastening jig.
BOLT CAULKING METHOD AND BOLT CAULKING DEVICE
There are provided a bolt caulking method and a bolt caulking device which ensure supply and caulking of a bolt as a single operation. The method is a bolt caulking method including supplying a bolt into a nose piece having a vertical hole, and lowering a punch from above to drive the bolt into a metal plate. The bolt is supplied through a pipe connected to a side of the nose piece, and dropped into a vertical hole formed in the nose piece along an inclined hole formed at a tip end of the pipe with a head part of the bolt being located on the topside. Thereafter, the punch which ejects air from a central hole is lowered within the vertical hole to drive the bolt into a metal plate while holding the bolt at a lower part of the vertical hole by the ejecting air flow.
STUD
The present disclosure relates to a stud improved to prevent loosening of the stud press-fitted into a sheet metal by increasing a resistance force against a torque.
The stud includes a body provided to be inserted into a stud mounting hole formed on the sheet metal and formed with a screw thread to which a screw is fastened therein, a flange provided on one side of the body to have a larger diameter than the stud mounting hole and press-fitted into the sheet metal, and a rotation preventer protruding from the flange to have a diameter larger than the stud mounting hole and smaller than the flange and press-fitted into the sheet metal to prevent rotation of the stud, wherein the rotation preventer includes a plurality of rotation preventing protrusions having asymmetric shapes, and each of the plurality of rotation preventing protrusions includes a rotation preventing surface provided to be perpendicular to a tangent line of a circle connecting ends of the plurality of rotation preventing protrusions.
Staking bolt
The staking bolt of the present invention includes a head 10 and a shank 11 having an external thread 12. At the upper end of the shank 11, a ring-shaped protrusion 20 and a ring groove 21 located closer to the head relative to the ring-shaped protrusion 20 are formed. The head 10 is flat, and on the bearing face 13, a whirl-stop protrusion 14 having a plurality of radially extending arms 15 protrudes with a thickness of t. The minimum diameter D between respective arms 15 is larger than the outer diameter d of the ring-shaped protrusion 20, and t×(D−d)/2 which is the longitudinal cross-sectional area A of the minimum diameter portion of the whirl-stop protrusion 14 is equal to or greater than the longitudinal cross-sectional area of the ring groove 21.
Cable lug comprising a nut or functional part, method for the production of such a cable lug, and nut
A cable lug or functional part in combination with a nut is provided. The cable lug or functional part has a tubular receiving portion for a cable, an integrally formed flat part connecting portion connected to the tubular receiving portion, the flat part connecting portion having a hole therethrough defined by a wall said hole having a central axis. The nut includes a body having an undercut. The nut is held captively and rotatably on the flat part connecting portion. The nut does not pass through the flat part connecting portion is held by a reshaped holding material portion of the flat part connecting portion which projects into the undercut. The reshaped holding material portion is accommodated in the undercut, and an axial clearance is provided between the reshaped holding material and the wall which defines the hole.
PRESS-IN NUT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PRESS-IN NUT AND PRESS-IN CONNECTION
A press-in nut is formed as a cap nut and has a nut body with a through hole, which is closed by a cap under formation of a blind hole. This is provided to obtain a media-tight connection with the nut body. The nut body has a ring collar at the top. In a pre-assembled state, the ring collar is only at least partially bent over, so that the cap is only held captively, without a media-tight connection being formed. The desired media-tight connection is only formed when press-fitting into a component.
Method of connecting a press-in bolt with a metal sheet, and cover element for carrying out the method
In a method for connecting a press-in bolt with a metal sheet, the metal sheet is positioned upon a cover element of a joining tool. The press-in bolt is forced by the joining tool in a pilot hole of the metal sheet as the metal sheet is supported by the cover element in its capacity as a die, until a head portion of the press-in bolt rests upon one side of the metal sheet and the cover element is pressed upon a shaft portion of the press-in bolt and radially deformed to rest upon another opposite side of the metal sheet.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR HYBRID GANG CHANNEL BOLTED JOINT
A fastening assembly and a method of coupling a flange joint are provided. The fastening assembly includes a channel assembly including an elongate web having a pair of opposing side edges, a plurality of spaced apart apertures extending through the web, and at least one anti-rotation lip extending away from the at least one side edge of the pair of side edges. The fastening assembly also includes a threaded nut assembly including a threaded internal bore and an external anti-rotation tab, the threaded nut assembly coupled to the web with the threaded bore aligned with a respective one of the plurality of spaced apart apertures. The fastening assembly further includes a clinch nut assembly including a threaded internal bore, an external anti-rotation tang, and a bore extension, the clinch nut assembly configured to fixedly couple the web to an outside face of a connection flange.
Method and device for caulking a caulking member
The invention is directed to a method for caulking a caulking member such as a caulking nut or a caulking bolt to a metal plate. The metal plate is arranged on a die having a caulking protrusion formed on an end surface thereof, the caulking member is arranged on the metal plate while a position of a caulking recess portion of the caulking member is aligned with the caulking protrusion, and a punch is brought closer to the die so that the caulking member is pressed against the metal plate. While an upper surface of the metal plate in a position opposite to the caulking recess portion is restricted by a downward protruding portion of the punch or by the caulking member, the metal plate is plastically fluidized into the caulking recess portion, so that the caulking member is caulked without boring a hole in the metal plate.
