THREAD REPAIR INSERT AND METHOD OF USE
A thread repair insert system having a cylindrical body that extends from an upper end to a lower end and includes a threaded exterior surface and a hollow interior having a threaded interior surface. The lower end of the cylindrical body includes a cutting section that includes a plurality of notches that separate threaded sections. The threaded sections include a cutting edge followed in the direction of rotation by a trailing edge. The lower end also tapers or narrows slightly such that the threaded sections transition from partial threads to full threads as they extend upward. As the thread repair insert is rotated into an opening in parent material, the cutting edge cuts material which is forced between the threads of the threaded sections. As the threaded sections transition from partial threads to full threads in the threaded sections, threads are roll-formed in the parent material.
NUT AND METHOD FOR FIXING AN OBJECT TO A BUILDING STRUCTURE
A nut (10), comprising: a female thread (34) for threading a bolt (14) thereinto; a head (52) surrounding the female thread (34), for holding the female thread (34), for allowing rotating the bolt (14) in relation to the female thread (34); and a self-tapping thread (36), for threading the nut (10) through an object (18), the self-tapping thread (36) characterized in not providing linear pacing in relation to the object (18) upon rotation therebetween upon completing the threading therebetween, wherein the self-tapping thread (36) may comprise the female thread (34) for threading the bolt (14) therethrough, thereby allowing connecting the nut (10) to the object (18) and then moving the bolt (14) in relation to the object (18), thereby allowing fixing the object (18) to a building structure (20) at an adjustable distance (40).
Fastener device and method for attaching polyester fiber panels to a substrate
A method and fastening device for attaching polyester fiber panels to a substrate, such as a wall or a ceiling. The fastening device comprises an anchor part for attachment to the substrate and a fastening part for attachment to the panel. The fastening part comprises a cylindrical portion, a helical member surrounding the cylindrical portion for penetrating the panel upon rotation of the helical member and a recess in the cylindrical portion for receiving the anchor part. The thread angle of the leading edge of the helical member is greater than the thread angle of the trailing edge.
DEVICE FOR CONNECTING COMPONENTS AND ARRANGEMENT FOR COMPENSATING TOLERANCES
A device for compensating tolerances between two components to be interconnected may have at least one base element and a compensation element which is in or can be brought into threaded engagement. The base element may have a cavity having a number of first segments defining at least one thread turn and a number of second segments. The compensation element can be moved by a first rotary movement relative to the base element from a starting position into a compensating position and in the compensating position is in threaded engagement and/or frictional engagement and/or clamping engagement with the first segments and/or the second segments of the base element in order to receive a second rotary movement of a screw element.
Threaded Insert and Contact assembly with Threaded Insert
A threaded insert to screw into a busbar, particularly a busbar of a battery module, wherein the threaded insert comprises a self-tapping or self-forming external thread. The invention further relates to a contact assembly with a threaded insert, a busbar and a contact screw that can be screwed into the threaded insert. The threaded insert preferably comprises a touch protection and is screwed into the busbar and in particular into a thread in the busbar that has been cut with the external thread of the threaded insert.
