TORQUE TRANSMITTING BALL JOINT
A torque transmitting ball joint can include a spherical ball, a stem extending from the spherical ball, one or more pins coupled to the spherical ball, and a socket. The socket can define an opening sized to contain the spherical ball within the socket and one or more slots sized to accommodate a pin of the one or more pins. The one or more pins can be contained by the one or more slots and can translate within the slot as the spherical ball rotates relative to the socket about a pivot center. At least one of the one or more pins can abut a sidewall of its slot and transmit torque from the stem to the socket via the spherical ball when the stem and spherical ball rotates relative to the socket.
CRANK PIN, BALL JOINT AND CORRESPONDING WIPER ACTUATING LINKAGE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE ASSEMBLY THEREOF
The invention concerns a crank pin for a connecting rod of a wiper-actuating linkage system, the crank pin being configured to be received in a complementary inner cavity of a ball joint of the linkage system, and comprising a truncated spherical portion having at least one spherical sector and at least one truncated sector. The invention also concerns a complementary ball joint. The invention also concerns a corresponding linkage system and the method for assembling a connecting rod of such a system.
Ball joint, stabilizer link using ball joint, and stabilizer assembly
The ball joint includes a metal ball stud which includes a ball section and a resin housing which rotatably supports the ball section of the ball stud. A limiting member configured to limit molding shrinkage of the housing is embedded in the housing at an interval with respect to an equatorial section of the ball section such that the limiting member is positioned to surround at least the equatorial section of the ball section.
Turbocharger having an actuator-actuated adjusting device and a transmission element with one-part component body
A turbocharger for a combustion engine has an adjusting device for matching its operating behavior to the operating behavior of the combustion engine, an actuating actuator, and a transmission element. The transmission element is coupled between the actuating actuator and the adjusting device. The transmission element has a one-part component body, which in each case extends from a first coupling point to a second coupling point along a longitudinal axis and, in each of its end regions, has a coupling element for coupling to the actuating actuator and to the adjusting device. The respective coupling element is designed as an integral part of the component body in the form of a ball receptacle of a ball joint connection in the component body.
Universal socket
A universal socket includes a barrel seat, a resilient member and a rotating component. The barrel seat has an inner wall surface having four receiving surface portions, and four linking surface portions each connected between two adjacent ones of the receiving surface portions and having two flat surface segments. The rotating portion is retained in the barrel seat, and has four corner surfaces corresponding in position to the receiving surface portions, respectively, and four contacting surfaces each connected between two adjacent ones of the corner surfaces and biased by the resilient member to abut against one of the flat surface segments.
JOINING ARRANGEMENT HAVING A RECEIVING MEANS AND A BALL JOINT
A joining arrangement having a receiver and a ball joint, wherein the ball joint comprises a joint pin with a joint ball and comprises a joint socket for receiving the joint ball, and wherein the ball joint is spread open resiliently into the receiver. According to the invention, the receiver has a guide element with a guide region which extends in a guide direction, wherein the joint socket is, by means of at least two locking arms, spread open resiliently into the guide element in a preselectable setpoint position within the guide region.
JOINING ARRANGEMENT HAVING A RECEIVER AND A BALL JOINT
The present invention relates to a joining arrangement having a receiver with a receiving opening and having a ball joint which is spread open into the receiver, wherein the ball joint comprises a joint pin with a joint ball and a joint socket for receiving the joint ball, wherein the joint socket has at least two wings with in each case one internally situated joint surface, wherein the joint surfaces are in contact with the joint ball and enclose the joint ball in sections. According to the invention, the wings have in each case one reboundable resilience section by means of which the respective joint surface presses with a defined force onto the joint ball.
Blind boss ball socket assembly
A ball socket assembly is provided that includes a ball socket having a socket base with a plurality of socket legs extending therefrom, the socket legs include ball stud interface surfaces forming a ball cavity for receiving and selectively engaging a ball head of a ball stud, a plurality of slots extending between the plurality of socket legs, a lower abutment wall having a bend line and situated in the socket base, and a flexible securing substrate positioned under the lower abutment wall, the socket assembly further including a mating boss substrate having a first boss inner passage with a first passage inside diameter, a second boss inner passage having a second passage inside diameter, wherein the first passage inside diameter is greater than the second passage inside diameter, a boss transition wall between the first boss inner passage and the second boss inner passage, and a boss bottom.
Multi-link spherical joint with collocated centers of rotation
A joint includes a shell that is hollow and at least partially spherical. The shell includes a plurality of shell rail sections including a first shell rail section. The first shell rail section includes a portion of an outer surface of the shell, a portion of an inner surface of the shell, and an opening edge section that defines a shell opening. The joint also includes a plurality of rotatable members including a first rotatable member. The first rotatable member includes an outer cup positioned at least partially outside of the shell and having an outer track surface, and an inner cup positioned at least partially inside of the shell and having an inner track surface. The first shell rail section is positioned at least partially between the outer and inner track surfaces.
BALL JOINT WITH INJECTION MOLDED BEARING
A method of manufacturing a ball joint includes arranging a ball in a bore of a housing, and enclosing an end of the bore. Plastic is injected into a space between the housing and the ball to form a bearing that has a bearing surface that engages the ball. The bearing shrinks to form a recess in the bearing surface so that the recess can be filled with a grease.
