COMPACT ROTARY SEAL
This invention relates to simple, compact rotary seals that contract to maintain a seal as the sealing elements may wear over time. Embodiments of this invention allow simple elastic rings, such as an O-ring, to be used as the sealing element.
AXLE ASSEMBLY HAVING A SPIGOT BEARING ASSEMBLY
An axle assembly having a spigot bearing assembly. The spigot bearing assembly may extend between a motor housing and a rotor output flange that may be fixedly mounted to a rotor. The spigot bearing assembly may rotatably support the rotor output flange and may inhibit deflection of the rotor. A spigot bearing biasing member may exert a biasing force on the spigot bearing assembly.
Rolling element bearing cage with supporting frame and reinforcing frame
The invention relates to a rolling element bearing cage formed of one or more segments, each segment comprising: a supporting frame having a plurality of spaced apart openings each for accommodating a rolling element; and a reinforcing frame, inserted within the supporting frame, having a corresponding plurality of openings each for aligning with the openings of the supporting frame.
Method of forming a roller element bearing cage comprising a supporting frame and a reinforcing frame
The invention relates to a method of forming a rolling element bearing cage assembly, comprising forming one or more segments, the forming of each segment comprising: forming a supporting frame having a plurality of spaced apart openings; forming a reinforcing frame including a corresponding plurality of openings each for aligning with the openings of the supporting frame; and inserting the reinforcing frame within the supporting frame.
Mast bearing system for a tiltrotor aircraft
A tiltrotor aircraft may be provided and may include a mast assembly, in which the mast assembly may include a mast; a bearing system; a housing; and a housing cap secured to the housing, wherein the bearing system is between the mast and the housing. The bearing system may further include a first bearing assembly including a first inner race, a first outer race, and a plurality of first tapered roller bearings; a second bearing assembly including a second inner race, a second outer race, and a plurality of second tapered roller bearings; an inner spacer and an outer spacer in which the inner and outer spacers are between the first and second bearing assemblies; and a retaining device in which the retaining device and the housing cap provide, at least in part, pre-loading for the first and second bearing assemblies.
SWIVEL JOINT
A linear roller bearing includes a cylindrical body defining a cylindrical axis and a diameter. The cylindrical body defines a cylindrical body axial length, and a ratio of the diameter to the cylindrical body axial length ranges from 0.75 to 1.1.
Cage segment for a rolling-element bearing cage
A cage segment for a rolling-element bearing cage includes first and second side elements connected by a bridge extending in a longitudinal direction. A first attaching element on the first side element extends away from the bridge in a first direction parallel to the longitudinal axis and a second attaching element on the second side element extends away from the bridge in a second direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. The first and second attaching elements are configured to receive a wire or cable for connecting the cage segments to other cage segments, and the first attaching element is offset from the longitudinal axis in a first direction by a first distance and the second attaching element is offset from the longitudinal axis in a second direction opposite the first direction by a second distance.
Conveyor pulley, bearing, and bearing protector apparatus and methods
Conveyer pulley with improved performance characteristics reduced metal use, lower labor use manufacture, assembly and maintenance. The pulley includes a tubular housing, an axle pre-fitted with disks supports, two plastic endcaps press-fitted into the housing. Two self-lubricating plastic bearings with integrated bearing protectors are fitted onto the axle and into the end caps and are being kept in place by two retaining rings. Protector element of the bearing is fabricated from felt that is impregnated with a lubrication fluid. Inner grooves of the bearings may be packed with consistent lubricant.
Spacer for rolling bearing, notably used in a wind turbine
A spacer includes opposite first and second portions facing one another, and at least two spaced reinforcing beams connected to the first and second portions and extending transversally with respect to the portions, the reinforcing beams being disposed both on one side of the first and second portions. The spacer further includes at least one abutting beam connected to the first and second portions, extending transversally with respect to the portions and located on the side opposite to the reinforcing beams. The first and second portions delimit together with the reinforcing and abutting beams a pocket configured to receive at least a contact roller.
Rotary cutting insert and support device
This invention relates to cutting tools used to machine materials to produce new surfaces and chips of removed material. Embodiments of this invention allow round rotating cutting inserts to be used in a more economical way, with improved accuracy, with improved sealing, and with greater ease of use. The rotary support device and cutting inserts may be used in either radial or tangential mounting types of cutters. It also provides a built-in, fully sealed means of fine adjustment of the cutting insert that is useful in some applications.
