Rolling element bearing cage with supporting frame and reinforcing frame
The invention relates to a rolling element bearing cage formed of one or more segments, each segment comprising: a supporting frame having a plurality of spaced apart openings each for accommodating a rolling element; and a reinforcing frame, inserted within the supporting frame, having a corresponding plurality of openings each for aligning with the openings of the supporting frame.
Fixed Rolling Element Bearing Assembly
The invention provides a fixed rolling element bearing assembly comprising: a housing; an inner race for attaching to a rotating shaft; a cage and rolling element assembly positioned around the inner race; first and second positional locators for positioning the cage and rolling element assembly between inner edges thereof; a thrustwasher adjacent an outer edge of either of the first or second positional locator and fixably connected to the housing.
Combination bearing with oil retainer feature
A combination bearing is configured to support both axial loads and radial loads. The combination bearing includes a bearing housing including a radial bearing ring and an axial bearing cup. Radial rolling elements are located within the radial bearing ring, are configured to support a radial load, and collectively rotate about a central axis. Axial rolling elements are located within the axial bearing cup, are configured to support an axial load, and are axially offset from the radial rolling elements along the axis. An axial washer directly contacts the axial rolling elements. The axial washer is configured to support the axial load and transfer it toward the axial rolling elements. A sealing washer is disposed about the axis and spaced axially from the axial washer. Oil is retained within the combination bearing during free-wheeling conditions with little to no external oil supply.
Sensorized roller
The present invention resides in a sensorized roller of a roller bearing. The sensorized roller includes a roller bore that accommodates a measuring device for measuring deformation of the roller bore and electronics for processing a deformation signal from the measuring device and wirelessly transmitting the processed deformation signal to an external receiver. According to the invention, the measuring device and electronics are mounted in a rigid housing that is shaped to fit within the roller bore. A radially outer surface of the housing includes at least one aperture associated with the measuring device. Furthermore, the rigid housing is resiliently mounted to the roller bore via first and second sealing elements that enclose a radial gap between a radially inner surface of the roller bore and a radially outer surface of the housing.
State detector for roller bearing and roller bearing device
The invention includes a sensor mounted in a through-hole formed in the center of a roller of a roller bearing device, a recording device that records detection signals from the sensors, and an installation jig for installing the recording device in the roller. The installation jig passes through the through-hole, and has a first engagement portion that engages with one axial end portion of the roller from an outer side in an axial direction, and a second engagement portion that engages with the other axial end portion of the roller from the outer side in the axial direction.
ROLLER WITH INTEGRATED LOAD DETECTION
A sensorized roller of a bearing, the sensorized roller having a sensor module located within an axially extending hollow cylindrical bore. The sensor module is equipped with one or more deformation sensors for detecting deformation of the roller bore due to a radial load acting on the roller. The sensor module comprises a rigid housing that is shaped to fit inside the roller bore and is mounted to the roller bore with a small radial clearance between an outer cylindrical surface of the housing an inner cylindrical surface of the bore. Each of the one or more deformation sensors is formed by a proximity sensor that is accommodated at the outer cylindrical surface of the housing. A sensing element of the proximity sensor faces the inner cylindrical surface of the roller bore and measures a radial gap therebetween; the radial gap being indicative of bore deformation.
CAGE SEGMENT FOR A ROLLING-ELEMENT BEARING CAGE
A cage segment for a rolling-element bearing cage includes first and second side elements connected by a bridge extending in a longitudinal direction. A first attaching element on the first side element extends away from the bridge in a first direction parallel to the longitudinal axis and a second attaching element on the second side element extends away from the bridge in a second direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. The first and second attaching elements are configured to receive a wire or cable for connecting the cage segments to other cage segments, and the first attaching element is offset from the longitudinal axis in a first direction by a first distance and the second attaching element is offset from the longitudinal axis in a second direction opposite the first direction by a second distance.
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR THIN RIM PLANET GEAR FOR AIRCRAFT ENGINE POWER GEARBOX
A planet gear includes an annular planet gear rim having a constant inner radius along a complete axial length and an outer radius defined as the radial distance to the root of the gear teeth. The annular planet gear rim further has an average rim radius defined at a halfway point between the constant inner radius and the outer radius. The average rim radius and the rim thickness define a ratio including values in a range from and including about 4 to and including about 9. A gear assembly and turbomachine including the planet gear are disclosed.
Crossed roller bearing
The roller insertion groove of the inner ring of a crossed roller bearing is provided with an outer circumferential surface-side groove opening that is exposed to an inner rings-side V-groove. The groove opening is defined by circumferential direction opening edge that extends in the circumferential direction along the inner ring-side V-groove and side opening edges that extend from both ends of the circumferential direction opening to the ring-shaped end face of the inner ring. Concentration of stress occurs in the corners between the circumferential direction opening edges and the side opening edges. The circumferential direction opening edge is formed so as not to coincide with the minimum outer diameter section of the inner ring-side V-groove.
