High-speed bearing

A roller bearing includes a first race, a second race, and a cage disposed between the first and second races. The cage has an inner rim and a plurality of webs extending radially outboard from the inner rim and being circumferentially arranged around the inner rim to be spaced apart to define pockets. The webs have flanges that extend axially. Portions of the inner rim form inner guide surfaces of the pockets. The cage further includes a wavy outer rim circumscribing the inner rim. The outer rim has radially outer portions attached to the flanges and radially inner portions forming outer guide surfaces of the pockets. The outer rim and the flanges cooperate to define cutouts interleaved with the webs. Cylindrical roller elements are disposed in the pockets between the first and second races and have first ends adjacent the inner guide surfaces and second ends adjacent the outer guide surfaces.

BEARING ASSEMBLY FOR ROLLER BOOT ARRANGEMENT

A bearing assembly is disclosed herein that is configured for use in a rubber boot arrangement. The bearing assembly includes an outer ring, an inner ring, a plurality of rolling elements supported between the outer ring and the inner ring, and a cage configured to retain the plurality of rolling elements. A thrust washer is provided that is configured to prevent wear, abrasion, or other damage to the bearing components. The thrust washer can be configured to be directly attached to any of the bearing components, such as the inner ring or the inner sleeve.

The method includes: the step of preparing a steel material and a work portion; the step of placing the steel material on the work portion; and the steps of obtaining the rolling bearing ring by heating the steel material on the work portion to a temperature equal to or higher than an A.sub.1 transformation point, thereafter punching a part of the steel material into a ring shape, and thereafter quenching the steel material in a ring shape on the work portion. In the step of obtaining the rolling bearing ring, heating and punching are performed in the state where oxidation of the steel material is suppressed, and in the state where tensile force is applied between the first portion and the second portion in the steel material.

BEARING CAGE SEGMENT OF A SHEET METAL CAGE

A sheet metal bearing cage segment includes a first sheet metal ring section, at least one second sheet metal ring section, and a plurality of bridges connecting the first ring section and the at least one second ring section to each other, adjacent pairs of the bridges forming pockets configured to receive at least one rolling element. At least one edge of the first ring section and/or at least one edge of the at least one second ring section and/or of one of the bridges is at least partially formed by laser cutting. Also a method of forming a sheet metal bearing cage at least partially by laser cutting.

BEARING CAGE SEGMENT INCLUDING AT LEAST ONE RECESS FOR FACILITATED BENDING

A sheet-metal bearing cage segment has a first ring section, at least one second ring section and a plurality of bridges connecting the first ring section and the at least one second ring section to each other such that a pocket for receiving at least one rolling element is formed between each circumferentially adjacent pair of the bridges. The first and/or second ring section includes at least one recess on the radially inner side and/or the radially outer side.

Overrunning clutch unit and gear mechanism device having the overrunning clutch unit

An overrunning clutch unit may include inner and outer rings that can be rotated relative to each other. Clamping members may transmit a torque between the two rings in one peripheral direction, the clamping members being arranged between the rings. A first bearing device may be configured to support the two rings, wherein the first bearing device is arranged between the rings at a first axial side of the clamping members. A second bearing device may be configured to support the two rings, wherein the second bearing device is arranged at a second, opposing, axial side of the clamping members so that a tilting of the inner ring relative to the outer ring is prevented.

In a lateral cross section passing through a center of a trunnion in the form of a retaining member that constitutes part of a constant velocity joint, and an orthogonal site where a virtual tangent line at a contact region is perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of a guide groove, a curved surface having a first arcuate portion and a second arcuate portion is formed. The second arcuate portion is contiguous with the first arcuate portion, and has a smaller radius of curvature than the first arcuate portion. Further, the first arcuate portion and the second arcuate portion are arranged in this order from a side in proximity to an annular member of the trunnion.
