UNIVERSAL JOINT BEARING
A universal joint bearing having a cup that serves as an outer ring of the universal joint bearing. The universal joint bearing includes exactly one sealing ring that is provided for sealing a gap between the cup and a trunnion.
SEALING ASSEMBLY FOR A CUP BEARING OF A UNIVERSAL JOINT
A sealing assembly for a cup bearing of a universal joint includes a seal sub-assembly configured to be positioned in a space between a cup of the cup bearing and a trunnion of the universal joint. The seal sub-assembly includes an elastic sealing member configured to contact an outer surface of the trunnion, and a seal insert attached to the elastic sealing member and configured to contact an inner surface of the cup. The seal insert includes an extension portion configured to contact and extend away from a rim surface of the cup. The sealing assembly further includes an external shield including an inner portion and an outer portion. The inner portion is configured to contact the outer surface of the trunnion, and the outer portion is attached to the extension portion of the seal insert.
BALANCER APPARATUS FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An object of the present invention is to provide a balancer apparatus for an internal combustion engine that can improve design flexibility in the internal combustion engine. The balancer apparatus includes left and right balancer shafts 21L and 21R each including a balancer weight 21a and a rear-side shaft portion 19b and a front-side shaft portion 19a provided on both sides of the weight portion 21a in a rotational axis direction, a rear-side housing 22R including a bearing holding portion 22Rd surrounding an outer periphery of the rear-side shaft portion 19b and rotatably supporting the rear-side shaft portion 19b, and a front-side housing 22F including a bearing holding portion 22Fd rotatably supporting the front-side shaft portion 19a.
NEEDLE BEARING UNIT FOR MOUNTING A VALVE SHAFT OR ACTUATOR SHAFT AND GAS CONTROL VALVE ARRANGEMENT
Needle bearing units and gas control valve arrangements including the bearing units are disclosed. A needle bearing unit for mounting a valve shaft or actuator shaft may include an outer ring and a needle cage, which may be arranged in the outer ring. Needle-shaped rolling elements may be guided in the needle cage, and the outer ring may have the form of a sleeve and have a sleeve bottom at its first end. An inner ring may be arranged in the needle cage and have, at its end remote from the sleeve bottom, an inner ring flange pointing toward the outer ring. The outer ring may have, at its second end, a sleeve flange, which surrounds the inner ring flange in order to fix the inner ring in the outer ring.
Self lubricating cam follower assembly
A cam follower assembly includes a shaft having a body defining a flanged head having an outer bearing surface extending therefrom. An outer ring is positioned around the shaft thereby forming an annular space there between. A plurality of rollers is positioned in the annular space. A channel extends through the shaft and branches radially outward at an outlet to communicate with the annular space. A lubrication assembly is positioned in the shaft and includes a pressurizing device located upstream of a lubrication reservoir and a metering device positioned downstream of the lubrication reservoir. The lubrication reservoir is in fluid communication with the outlet. The lubrication assembly includes a membrane positioned downstream of the lubrication reservoir. A piercing device is positioned proximate the membrane to pierce the membrane and release a lubricant from the lubrication reservoir.
Integrated center bearing assembly
A driveshaft assembly of a vehicle includes a yoke assembly having a shaft extending between a yoke and a flange. The yoke assembly further includes a bearing having an inner race integrally formed on an outer surface of the shaft, an outer race circumscribing the inner race, and a plurality of rotating elements rollably engaging between the inner and outer races. A tube is attached to the flange.
Bearing structure
An outer-ring-equivalent component having an annular raceway surface on which rolling elements roll is disposed on an outer circumference of a bearing. The bearing is, for example, a retainer-equipped roller. Between the bearing and a fixed member located apart from the bearing in an axial direction, a thrust washer is interposed so as to be movable in the axial direction. A gap forming device is provided which constantly forms a gap between the thrust washer and the outer-ring-equivalent component. For example, as the gap forming device, an axial width of the bearing is made larger than an axial width of the outer-ring-equivalent component.
AXIALLY SELF-POSITIONING RADIAL SUPPORT BEARING
A radial support bearing having a cylindrical cage including a central portion, a first end portion and a second end portion, the central portion defining a plurality of roller pockets, and at least one projection extending radially inwardly from an inner surface of the cage, a plurality of rollers, each roller being disposed in a respective roller pocket, a cylindrical outer sleeve disposed about an outer surface of the cage so that the inner surface of the outer sleeve is adjacent the plurality of rollers, and an o-ring adapted to be axially fixed relative to the shaft. The o-ring is slidably received between the at least one projection of the cage and the central portion of the cage so that the cage is axially fixed with respect to the shaft.
Cam follower and method for producing cam follower
A cam follower is constituted by an outer ring which has an outer track surface in its inner circumference; a stud which has an inner track surface opposed to the outer track surface, a flange portion abutting on one side of the inner track surface, a side plate fitting portion and a mounting shaft portion abutting on another side of the inner track surface in this order, and a fiber flow formed continuously from the flange portion to the inner track surface along their outer circumferences; rolling elements which are arranged between the outer track surface and inner track surface; and an inner side plate which is pressed into the side plate fitting portion to work with the flange portion for limiting axial movement of the outer ring and the rolling elements.
Method for producing a shaft
A method for producing a shaft, in particular a balance shaft, crankshaft and the like, having at least one substantially annular bearing seat and at least one unbalance portion. The method includes the steps: provision of a shaft blank; formation of the at least one unbalance portion and of at least two opposite bearing seat side members by a forming process; and deformation of the at least two opposite bearing seat side members by a shell tool such that the bearing seat side members are bent together, whereby the at least one substantially annular bearing seat is formed.
