Fourier transform spectrophotometer
In an infrared spectrophotometer, a plurality of rolling elements are provided between a movable portion and the holding portion. While no external force is applied from a spring, a play space is generated between the movable portion, the holding portion, and each rolling element. In the infrared spectrophotometer, when the movable mirror and the movable portion are slid, an external force directed downward is applied to the movable portion by the spring, thereby preventing each rolling element from moving between the movable portion and the holding portion. Accordingly, when the movable mirror and the movable portion are slid, it is possible to suppress rattling of the movable portion and the holding portion while leaving a fine gap between the movable portion, the holding portion, and each rolling element. This makes it possible to easily control the moving speeds of the movable mirror and the movable portion and to suppress rattling of the movable mirror and the movable portion.

Rotation mechanism, machine tool, and semiconductor manufacturing device
A rotation mechanism includes: a housing; a shaft inserted through a hole provided at the housing; bearings installed at the housing and rotatably supporting the shaft; a rotary member provided at one end portion of the shaft, adapted to be rotated together with the shaft, and having a portion that projects to a radially outer side of the hole and faces the housing with a gap having a predetermined size; and a gas passage adapted to connect the gap to outside of the housing and allow gas contained in a portion of the gap to pass to the outside of the housing.
Hybrid rolling bearing, particularly for refrigerant compressor
A Hybrid rolling bearing includes an inner raceway and an outer raceway and a plurality of rolling elements arranged therebetween. The outer raceway and the inner raceway are made from bearing steel, having a first surface RMS roughness R.sub.q1. The rolling elements are made from a ceramic material and have second surface RMS roughnesses R.sub.q2,i. At least one of the rolling elements has an increased surface RMS roughness R.sub.q2,N, which is significantly higher than the RMS roughnesses R.sub.q2,i, of the remaining rolling elements. The hybrid rolling bearing can be installed within a refrigerant compressor.
Planetary carrier for a gearset stage of a planetary gearset, and pretensioning method
A planetary carrier for a gear stage of a planetary gearset includes at least one planetary pin that is disposed in a rotationally fixed manner in the planetary carrier, and a pair of tapered roller bearings that are disposed on the planetary pin supporting a planet gear. The planetary pin is fastened by a pin screw connection, which comprises a pin screw and a nut, to the planetary carrier. The tapered roller bearings are clamped against each other between the planetary carrier and the planet pin and are axially pretensioned by the pin screw connection.
ROLLING-ELEMENT BEARING UNIT, CAGE, AND INSTALLATION METHOD
A rolling-element bearing unit includes at least one outer ring, at least one inner ring, at least one cage, and a plurality of rolling elements between the outer ring and the inner ring and disposed in pockets of the cage. At least one auxiliary ring is disposed axially adjacent to the outer ring, and the cage includes connecting elements, such as radially outwardly extending lugs, for captively connecting the auxiliary ring to the cage.
PRELOADED BEARING ARRANGEMENT
A method of making a preloaded bearing arrangement and a preloaded bearing arrangement are provided. The method comprises the steps of placing a bearing around a shaft and then placing a frustoconical disc spring around the shaft such that a portion of the disc spring abuts the bearing. A deformable cup is placed around the shaft, and an annular section of the deformable cup is spaced apart from the frustoconical disc spring and the cup is held at a fixed position along the shaft. A split shim is inserted between the annular section of the deformable cup and the disc spring to apply a preload to the disc spring. The deformable cup is then deformed such that a sidewall of the deformable cup extends around the split shim to hold the split shim in place relative to the shaft.
HUB STRUCTURE
A hub structure includes an axle housing, a hub having an insertion hole in a vehicle width direction through which the axle housing is inserted, and an inner bearing disposed between the hub and the axle housing in the insertion hole and rotatably supporting the hub with respect to the axle housing, and an oil seal disposed between the hub and the axle housing in the insertion hole on an inner side relative to the inner bearing in the vehicle width direction. A spacer is provided between the inner bearing and the oil seal in the insertion hole. The spacer has an outer end surface that is contactable with an inner end surface of an inner race of the inner bearing.
Bearing Arrangement of a Bevel Gear Drive and Application of the Bearing Arrangement
The invention relates to a bearing arrangement for a bevel gear drive, comprising a housing (14), a pinion (12), which includes a pinion shaft (12a) and a bearing journal (12b), and a crown wheel (13), which is meshed with the pinion (12), wherein the pinion (12) is supported with respect to the housing (14) via the bearing journal (12b) and the pinion shaft (12a) with the aid of antifriction bearings (15, 16).
