RING WITH COMPOSITE AND METAL TWO MATERIAL SQUIRREL TYPE CAGE, AND BEARING ASSEMBLY WITH ROLLING ELEMENTS THAT IS EQUIPPED WITH SUCH A RING
An annular ring having a contact portion, a raceway and a squirrel-type cage secured to the contact portion. The contact portion is formed from a first metal material, and the squirrel cage is formed from a second composite-type material including a matrix in which reinforcing fibres are embedded, the pierced portion of the squirrel cage being attached to an outer surface of the contact portion. Also, a bearing assembly with rolling elements having an outer ring, an inner ring coaxial with the outer ring, and a plurality of rolling elements housed between the raceway of the contact portion of the outer ring and a raceway of the inner ring.
Laminated bearing assembly with differing shim thicknesses
A bearing assembly is for movably coupling first and second members and includes first and second laminated bodies disposed within the second member bore, spaced about a centerline and connected with the first member. The first laminated is formed of alternating, arcuate first elastomeric laminae and arcuate first rigid laminae nested generally about a first central axis, each first rigid lamina having a first radial thickness between inner and outer surfaces. The second laminated body is formed of alternating, arcuate second elastomeric laminae and arcuate second rigid laminae nested generally about a second central axis, each second rigid lamina having a second radial thickness between the rigid lamina inner and outer surfaces. The first radial thickness of the first rigid laminae is substantially greater than the second radial thickness of the second rigid laminae such that the second laminated body has a substantially lesser stiffness than the first laminated body.
Split bearing cartridge assembly and split housed bearing assembly
A novel split bearing cartridge assembly is provided having an inner race, clamp collars for securing the inner race to a shaft, a plurality of rolling elements within a cage, an outer race, a bearing container for encapsulating those components, and seals that sit within the openings in the bearing container. All of the above components are split such that the bearing cartridge may be assembled and disassembled on and from a shaft with relative ease. The split inner race extends axially such that the seals act between the openings in the bearing container and the extended portions of the inner race. A split housed bearing assembly that incorporates the novel split bearing cartridge assembly is also provided.
Aircraft turbomachine assembly having an improved decoupling system in the event of a fan blade loss
An assembly for a turbomachine includes a fan rotor drive shaft, a rolling element and a support of an exterior rolling-element bearing ring including an exterior annular element as well as an interior annular element coupled through a decoupling interface in the shape of a truncated sphere and configured to be retained by friction under normal operating conditions of the turbomachine, and to move with respect to one another in the event of a fan blade loss. The rolling-element bearing is designed so that each rolling element has four points of contact with the rings, and so that the interface between the ring and the support has a hollowed space for deformation routed around a central portion of the exterior ring.
SPHERICAL PLAIN BEARING FOR DAMPERS
A spherical bearing for a damper system includes a first segment and a second segment with a ball therebetween. The ball includes a shaft extending therefrom. The shaft extends out of the first segment. A lubricious liner is disposed between the first segment and the second segment.
SELF-ALIGNING CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING
A self-aligning clutch release bearing having a rotating ring 114 and a static ring 112. Static ring 112 is located within a spherical cup 13, which incorporates an inner spherical surface 131, and the static ring 112 engages with the spherical cup 13 through the spherical surface 131. The spherical surface 131 has a radius whose center coincides with a center point 10 defined by intersection of the rotational axis 111 of the bearing and a plane defined by face of the rotating ring 114 that engages with fingers of the clutch. A spherical ring 14 incorporating a spherical end face 141 on its outer diameter is located within an inner diameter of the static ring 112, and engages with a spherical end face 113 on the inner diameter of the static ring. The two spherical end faces have about same radius with their centers coinciding with the center point 10.
COVER PLATE AND SEAL CARRIER THAT ELIMINATES BEARING ENDPLAY
A bearing attachment system for a pump product having a seal carrier and a cover plate. The attachment system is configured to produce a force deflection curve that provides a clamping force on a pair of tapered roller bearings such that a tight bearing endplay on the tapered roller bearings is maintained through a full range of manufacturing tolerances. The geometric shape of the cover plate and the top surface of the seal carrier provide the desired deflection characteristics.
Bearing arrangement and an aircraft
A bearing arrangement for use with a structure defining an outer surface which expands and contracts inward and outward relative to the structure includes, a member having at least one inner surface to face the outer surface, and at least one protrusion extending from the inner surface, the at least one protrusion being biased toward and in contact with the outer surface and maintains contact as the structure expands and contracts.
Bearing sealing device
A bearing sealing device includes two seals (inner and outer seals) sealing the space between the inner and outer races of a bearing to ensure higher seal performance, and also to reduce the area of the inner periphery of the outer race that needs to be ground. The bearing sealing device includes a ring constituted by a metal annulus, and a rubber part. The metal annulus is formed by cold pressing, and has a seal contact surface kept in contact with seal lips of the outer seal. The rubber part includes a press-fitted portion fixed to the inner periphery of the outer race. The inner race has, on its outer periphery, a cylindrical fitting surface to which the outer seal is press-fitted.
FLANGED BEARING OUTER RING UNIT
A flanged bearing outer ring unit includes an outer ring formed from metal and having a sliding interface and a polymeric flange attached to the sliding interface by overmolding and/or injection molding, and, optionally including an embedded metal or organo-sheet reinforcement. Also a method and a molding form for forming the flanged bearing outer ring unit.
