A turbine generator contains a turbine part and a generator part. The turbine contains a turbine wheel. A sealing arrangement is arranged between the turbine wheel and the generator part, the sealing effect of which varies during operation. The generator part further has a generator shaft, which is supported by an axial bearing configured as a magnetic bearing with two coils axially spaced apart from each other. A bearing ring is arranged between these coils with an axial distance from the coils. To ensure a safe operation, a setpoint value for the axial distance is varied to change the sealing effect of the sealing arrangement. Alternatively or additionally, it is provided that when a current threshold of a coil current is exceeded, a control signal is emitted to control the flow of the medium or the rotational speed.

Motor Bearing With Anti-Rotation Spring For Electrical Submersible Well Pump

A submersible pump electrical motor has a bearing hub between adjacent rotor sections. The bearing hub has a hub outward facing sidewall and a hub inward facing hub sidewall through which the shaft extends. A collar having a collar inward facing sidewall is rigidly mounted to the hub outward facing sidewall. The collar has a collar outward facing sidewall spaced from stator sidewall by an annular clearance. A slit in the collar extends from the collar inward facing sidewall to the collar outward facing sidewall. An anti-rotation spring has a supporting portion inwardly biased against the hub outward facing sidewall and a locking portion protruding outward through the slit into engagement with the groove to prevent rotation of the hub and the collar.

BEARINGLESS HUB ASSEMBLY WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC DRIVE SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
20210301869 · 2021-09-30 ·

A bearingless hub assembly comprising a rim hollowed to receive a tube magnet, and magnets embedded around the circumference of the rim on both ends. The rim is capped by front and rear rim plates configured to hold the embedded magnets in place and fitted to receive respective circular magnets. Similar magnets in corresponding front or rear drive plate maintain space (i.e., levitation) vis-à-vis the front and rear rim caps by repelling each other, thus allowing the rim (and, as applied, a mechanically-attached tire assembly) to move freely with no friction. The front and rear drive plate carry forward and reverse electromagnetic actuators as well as forward and reverse levitation control units, power generators and speed sensors. These components mount 360 degrees around the circumference of the drive plates while the embedded magnets of the rim spin through when in motion.

Magnetic bearing device and fluid mechanical system

A controller performs, in a first mode, a first operation for controlling composite electromagnetic force of electromagnets such that a target member moves within a predetermined moving range, and a second operation for acquiring temperature drift correlation information indicative of a correlation between a reference value and an input-output characteristic of a position sensor, based on the reference value and the input-output characteristic of the position sensor in the first operation. The controller performs, in a second mode, a third operation for controlling the composite electromagnetic force of the electromagnets according to a signal level of a detection signal from the position sensor, and a fourth operation for compensating the input-output characteristic of the position sensor in the third operation, based on the temperature drift correlation information and the reference value in the third operation.

Method and device for stopping a magnetic suspension centrifuge

A method and a device for stopping a magnetic suspension centrifuge includes: a frequency-conversion cabinet connected with the magnetic suspension centrifuge judges a stopping state of the magnetic suspension centrifuge; if the stopping state is judged to satisfy a preset condition, the frequency-conversion cabinet switches a operating mode of a motor of the magnetic suspension centrifuge from an electrically-powered state mode to a power generation state mode, so as to convert the inertia mechanical energy of the motor when the motor stops into electric energy; and the frequency-conversion cabinet leads the electric energy into a power grid, so as to consume the electric energy. Accordingly, the problem that the motor of the magnetic suspension centrifuge cannot be rapidly switched from an operating state to a stopping state when an exception occurs to a bearing or a bearing controller in the prior art can be solved.
