Polymer coating on substrates using thermal spray techniques
A laminate article can include a substrate and a layer of a heterogeneous mixture of a non-fluorinated polymer compound and a fluorinated polymer compound. The laminate article can include a gradual concentration gradient along an axis perpendicular to the substrate. The gradual concentration gradient can include the change of the amount of the non-fluorinated polymer and the fluorinated polymer compound relative to the axis perpendicular to the substrate. The layer can further include at least one filler. The laminate can be applied as a bearing material.
POLYACETAL RESIN COMPOSITION AND SLIDING MEMBER
A polyoxymethylene (POM) resin composition which is used for a resin molded article having a superior sliding characteristic. The POM resin composition contains: (A) 100 parts by mass of a POM resin; (B) 0.01-1 parts by mass of a hindered phenolic antioxidant; (C) 0.05-1 parts by mass of a nitrogen-containing compound; (D) 0.5-10 parts by mass of a modified olefin polymer; (E) 0.01-5 parts by mass of an alkylene glycol polymer; (F) 0.1-20 parts by mass of calcium carbonate; (G) 0.1-10 parts by mass of a partial ester of a polyhydric alcohol; and (H) 0.1-10 parts by mass of an a-olefin oligomer. An ISO tensile test piece, which is obtained by injection molding at a die temperature of 90° C. and a cylinder temperature of 200° C., is crushed, Soxhlet extraction is performed for 3 hours at 70° C. using methanol, and the alkylene glycol polymer is measured. The weight of the alkylene glycol polymer is 0.001 wt % or less relative to 100 wt % of the test piece.
PLAIN BEARING FOR A COUPLING ROD OF A STEER-BY-WIRE STEERING GEAR
A steering gear for a steer-by-wire steering system of a motor vehicle may include a coupling rod mounted in a steering gear housing. A threaded spindle may be formed on the coupling rod and surrounded by a spindle nut as part of a spiral gear. The coupling rod may be displaceable along a longitudinal axis by way of the spiral gear. The coupling rod can be mounted in the steering gear housing by way of a plain bearing so as to be displaceable along the longitudinal axis. The plain bearing is configured to compensate for thermal expansions between the steering gear housing and the spindle nut.
Bearing with sliding radial components
A bearing including an annular substrate defining a first and a second opposite axial ends; and a plurality of sliding components attached to and extending radially from the annular substrate, each sliding component extending at least partially between the first and second opposite axial ends of the annular substrate. A head restraint assembly including a head restraint having a body and a first and second post extending from the body; a first guide sleeve having a first bearing for receiving the first post; and a second guide sleeve having a second bearing for receiving the second post.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEMISPHERICAL SHOE FOR SWASH PLATE COMPRESSOR AND INJECTION MOLDING DIE
The present invention provides a method for producing a durable semispherical shoe which can be prevented from being subjected to seizure even in a dry lubrication state in which there is no lubricating oil at a start time of an operation of a swash plate compressor, can be restrained from deteriorating in its lubricating property due to generated frictional heat, and can be restrained from deteriorating in its strength at a production time and an injection molding die. A semispherical shoe (4), for a swash plate compressor, to be produced by the production method has a base material (5), consisting of a hard material, which has a hollow part along a central axis thereof and a resin layer, consisting of a resin composition, which is formed on a surface of a planar part, disposed on a periphery of the base member, which is to be subjected to sliding contact with the swash plate and on a surface of a spherical part, disposed on the periphery thereof, which is to be subjected to sliding contact with a piston. A resin-filled portion (8) where the resin composition is filled and an empty portion where the resin composition is not filled are formed in the hollow part of the base material. The resin-filled portion (8) and the resin layer are formed by injecting and filling the resin composition into a portion to be formed as the resin-filled portion (8) with the base material (5) being disposed inside a cavity (22) of the injection molding die.
Composite Bearing with Enhanced Wear and Machinability
A self-lubricating composite material is disclosed. The self-lubricating composite material can include discontinuous polymer fiber segments dispersed within a woven matrix of semi-continuous thermoplastic fiber. The woven matrix can be embedded within a thermosetting resin. Also disclosed are methods of manufacturing the self-lubricating composite material.
WHEEL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE WHEEL
A wheel, in particular a counting wheel for a meter, includes a bearing bush and a wheel rim. The bearing bush and the wheel rim are produced from different materials. The bearing bush and the wheel rim can move relative to one another in the rotational direction through a guide having complementarily corresponding guide elements on the bearing bush and the wheel rim extending continuously in the circumferential direction of the counting wheel.
Plain bearing and method for its manufacture
A newly built plain bearing has an inner ring and an outer ring each having a sliding surface along which the rings are movable relative to each other. The sliding surfaces are spaced from each other by an intermediate space that holds an initial greasing, and at least one of the sliding surfaces includes an anti-corrosion coating.
