SLIDING MEMBER
A resin coating layer in a sliding member has a surface shape indicated by a shape line. This shape line is divided into recessed sections and protruding sections by an average line for uneven areas. The inclination R of a straight line connecting the bottom of these recessed sections and the peak of these protruding sections is classified into Ra: R<0.02, Rb: 0.02≦R≦0.04, and Rc: 0.04<R. The sliding member comprises a resin coating layer fulfilling Ra+Rb≧50%.
Maintenance-free slide bearing with a combined adhesive sliding layer
Slide bearings and methods of producing slide bearings are disclosed. The slide bearing has a metal support and a sliding layer. No other layer is in contact with the sliding layer. The sliding layer is applied directly to the metal support. The sliding layer comprises a mixture of at least two polymers P1 and P2, wherein P1 is a fluoropolymer. P2 is a non-fluorinated thermoplastic polymer.
BEARING SUPPORT COMPOSED OF FIBER-PLASTIC COMPOSITE
A bearing support includes at least one sliding bearing defined by the bearing support and/or at least one rolling-element bearing having an outer raceway defined by the bearing support. The bearing support is formed from a fiber-plastic composite and includes an integrally formed sliding surface of the sliding bearing and/or an integrally formed raceway for rolling elements of the rolling-element bearing, and the fiber-plastic composite includes a matrix into which spatially oriented sliding fibers, for example, PTFE fibers, are embedded in a region of the sliding surface of the sliding bearing and/or a region of the raceway of the rolling-element bearing.
Self-lubricating hinge assembly made from composite material and operating under high dynamic loads
This assembly includes a ball joint assembled in a casing, and receiving an axle capable of sliding and/or rotating therein. The ball joint is formed from the winding of a fabric of small thickness ranging between 20 μm and 150 μm and mixed with a resin comprising fillers. The fabric has the form of strips having a width ranging between 5 mm and 200 mm; the strips being crossed in several layers.
AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR ASSEMBLY
An aircraft landing gear assembly including structural members coupled via a coupling including a bearing. The bearing has a body defining a first bearing surface arranged to contact a first counter-face of the coupling. The first bearing surface is defined by a first tubular layer of fibre reinforced polymer of a first type having an axis and containing synthetic fibres of a first type wound around and along the axis of the bearing. The bearing body further has a second tubular layer of fibre reinforced polymer of a second type containing synthetic fibres of a second type wound around and along the axis of the bearing.
Polymer coating on substrates using thermal spray techniques
A laminate article can include a substrate and a layer of a heterogeneous mixture of a non-fluorinated polymer compound and a fluorinated polymer compound. The laminate article can include a gradual concentration gradient along an axis perpendicular to the substrate. The gradual concentration gradient can include the change of the amount of the non-fluorinated polymer and the fluorinated polymer compound relative to the axis perpendicular to the substrate. The layer can further include at least one filler. The laminate can be applied as a bearing material.
Bearing with sliding radial components
A bearing including an annular substrate defining a first and a second opposite axial ends; and a plurality of sliding components attached to and extending radially from the annular substrate, each sliding component extending at least partially between the first and second opposite axial ends of the annular substrate. A head restraint assembly including a head restraint having a body and a first and second post extending from the body; a first guide sleeve having a first bearing for receiving the first post; and a second guide sleeve having a second bearing for receiving the second post.
Composite Bearing with Enhanced Wear and Machinability
A self-lubricating composite material is disclosed. The self-lubricating composite material can include discontinuous polymer fiber segments dispersed within a woven matrix of semi-continuous thermoplastic fiber. The woven matrix can be embedded within a thermosetting resin. Also disclosed are methods of manufacturing the self-lubricating composite material.
Thrust washer
A thrust washer may include a metallic substrate layer having an axial substrate face. The thrust washer may also include a polymer layer on the axial substrate face. The polymer layer may have an axial polymer face opposed to the axial substrate face. The axial polymer face may be profiled and may have at least one oil distribution groove. At least one of the substrate layer and the polymer layer may be a machined layer having a thickness that may vary in correspondence with the at least one distribution groove.
WHEEL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE WHEEL
A wheel, in particular a counting wheel for a meter, includes a bearing bush and a wheel rim. The bearing bush and the wheel rim are produced from different materials. The bearing bush and the wheel rim can move relative to one another in the rotational direction through a guide having complementarily corresponding guide elements on the bearing bush and the wheel rim extending continuously in the circumferential direction of the counting wheel.
