A gear assembly including a rim gear with an inner circumference having one or more beveled surfaces. The rim gear is mounted on a one or more corresponding tapered rollers on a gear mounting assembly. The tapered rollers can engage with the beveled surfaces at an angle relative to an axis of rotation of the tapered rollers and the rim gear to prevent slippage between the inner circumference (beveled surfaces) and the tapered rollers.

A tapered roller bearing is configured such that, when considering: (i) a reference point which is the intersection point between the imaginary line extending from the generatrix of the raceway surface of the inner ring toward a grinding undercut, and the imaginary line extending from the generatrix of a large flange surface toward the grinding undercut; (ii) the undercut width A of the grinding undercut from the reference point to the large flange surface; and (iii) the width RC of a chamfer of each tapered roller in the direction along the generatrix of the large flange surface, the width RC is 0.7 mm or less and the relationship between A and RC is A<RC.

Roller for roller bearing, assembly including a grinding tool and a roller for a roller bearing, and method for manufacturing a roller for a roller bearing

A roller for a roller bearing has a first end surface and a second end surface and a rolling surface between the first and second end surfaces. The first end surface has an at least partially ground profile having a non-constant curvature such as a logarithmic profile. Also, an assembly including a grinding tool and a roller with an end surface having a ground non-constant curvature.

Stator core end caps

Electric motors are disclosed. The motors are preferably for use in an automated vehicle, although any one or more of a variety of motor uses are suitable. The motors include lift, turntable, and locomotion motors.

Multi-axis pivoting coupler joints and drivetrain architectures for intelligent electric scooters

Presented are multi-axis pivoting coupler joints for motorized vehicles, methods for making/using such coupler joints, and electric scooters with multi-axis pivoting coupler joints enabling multimodal scooter operation. A pivoting coupler joint includes first and second bearing assemblies each with a respective housing, respective inner and outer races concentric with each other and located in their respective housing, and a respective set of rolling elements rollably interposed between their respective inner and outer races. The first inner race of the first bearing assembly receives therethrough and circumscribes an axle shaft of a vehicle wheel. The second inner race attaches to a wheeled rider deck of the vehicle. The first and second bearing housings are joined together and angularly offset from each other. For some applications, the first bearing assembly includes a pair of longitudinally spaced needle roller bearings, and the second bearing assembly includes a pair of longitudinally spaced tapered bearings.

Cage for a rolling-element bearing

A rolling-element bearing cage includes a plurality of pockets each configured to receive a rolling element, and retaining elements associated with each of the plurality of pockets, each of the retaining elements being configured to secure the rolling elements against falling out of the pockets in a radially inward direction while permitting the rolling elements to be inserted into the pockets in a radially outward direction.

Tapered roller bearing

An object of the present invention to provide a tapered roller bearing in which a flange portion is formed at a large-diameter end of an outer ring track surface of an outer ring, capable of providing high moment stiffness and long life without extremely decreasing its pure axial load capacity. The tapered roller bearing comprising: an outer ring 12 having an outer ring track surface 12a on its inner circumferential surface; an inner ring 13 having an inner ring track surface 13a on its outer circumferential surface; a plurality of tapered rollers 14 rotatably disposed between the outer ring track surface 12a and the inner ring track surface 13a; and a retainer 15 having a plurality of pockets for retaining the plurality of tapered rollers 14 at a predetermined interval; the outer ring track surface 12a of the outer ring 12 having a small-diameter end and a large-diameter end, the inner ring track surface 13a of the inner ring 13 having a small-diameter end and a large-diameter end, and, of these four ends, a flange portion 12b that protrudes radially inwardly is formed at the large-diameter end of the outer ring track surface 12a of the outer ring 12; wherein the tapered roller bearing has a contact angle greater than 35° and a roller angle not greater than 3.5°.
