A one-way snap-in cage for a deep groove ball bearing having an annular backbone portion and a hanging out portion extending from the backbone portion towards an axial side. The hanging out portion including a pocket for accommodating a rolling element of a bearing in a circumferential direction and a pocket connection used to connect adjacent pockets. A bottom portion of the pocket is formed integrally with the backbone portion. The ratio H.sub.c/D.sub.w of a radial size H.sub.c of the cage in terms of thickness to the diameter D.sub.w of the rolling element of the bearing satisfies the relation 17.679%H.sub.c/D.sub.w37.389%, the radial size H.sub.c of the cage is equal in value to half of the difference between the maximum outer diameter D.sub.c_max and the minimum inner diameter D.sub.c_min of the cage. The present invention further provides a deep groove ball bearing using the cage.

Bearing unit with retaining cage

A bearing unit may be provided with at least one row of rolling bodies and at least one cage for retaining the rolling bodies. The at least one rolling cage may include a base rib; a plurality of fingers spaced circumferentially and extending at least from one side of the base rib; and a plurality of partially spherical cavities for holding the rolling bodies, each cavity being defined by the partially spherical concave surfaces of a pair of fingers of the plurality of fingers and of the base rib. The rolling bodies and the cages are in contact with each other via a plurality of protrusions formed on the partially spherical concave surfaces of the fingers and of the base rib. At least one lateral protrusion may be formed along the surface of each finger of the plurality of fingers of the retaining cage.

Ball bearing

A cage of a ball bearing includes an annular portion located on a first axial side with respect to balls, the first axial side being one side in an axial direction of the ball bearing, and cage bars extending from the annular portion toward a second axial side, the second axial side being the other side in the axial direction of the ball bearing. A space located on a second axial side of the annular portion and defined between any two of the cage bars adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction serves as a pocket that accommodates a corresponding one of the balls. The pocket has a contact surface that is brought into point contact with the ball at an intersection point between a rotational center axis of the ball and a surface of the ball when the cage is displaced toward the second axial side.

A plastic bearing for a steering column includes a housing, an inner race, and a middle race. A retainer and balls are arranged between the middle race and the inner race. An accommodating cavity is formed in the housing; the middle race is arranged in the accommodating cavity. Guide protrusions are arranged on an inner wall of the accommodating cavity. Two positioning protrusions are arranged on an outer wall of the middle race, and an insertion groove is formed between the two positioning protrusions. The guide protrusion is matched with the insertion groove. Buckles are arranged on the inner wall of the accommodating cavity. Clamping blocks are arranged on the outer wall of the middle race, and the clamping blocks are clamped in the buckles. The overall structure of the plastic bearing for a steering column is more compact and simple and can be easily and conveniently assembled.
