MULTI-PART BEARING CAGE ASSEMBLY
A bearing cage assembly including two different cage halves formed from different materials is disclosed. The first cage half includes a first rim and a first plurality of arms extending from the first rim. The second cage half includes a second rim and a second plurality of arms extending from the second rim. The first cage half and the second cage half are fastened to each other via engagement between a plurality of first retainers of the first cage half with the plurality of second retainers of the second cage half.

TWO-PIECE BEARING CAGE ASSEMBLY
An improved bearing cage is disclosed herein. The bearing cage assembly generally consists of two cage halves that are connected, fixed, or joined to each other directly via mating components formed integrally with the two cage halves. The cage halves are joined to each other via engagement of integrally formed sockets and posts defined on radially extending arms of the cage halves.
Rolling Element Bearing Cage with Supporting Frame and Reinforcing Frame
The invention relates to a rolling element bearing cage formed of one or more segments, each segment comprising: a supporting frame having a plurality of spaced apart openings each for accommodating a rolling element; and a reinforcing frame, inserted within the supporting frame, having a corresponding plurality of openings each for aligning with the openings of the supporting frame.
Roller bearing cage retention apparatus
A bearing assembly includes a bearing cage and a supplementary ring. The bearing cage includes an annular body and a plurality of bearing elements disposed about the annular body. The supplementary ring includes an annular collar and a plurality of retention elements. The annular collar is disposed concentrically about the bearing cage. The plurality of retention elements is connected to and extends axially from the first annular collar. Each retention element is aligned between adjacent bearing elements. The plurality of retention elements is disposed to retain the plurality of bearing elements in the annular body of the bearing cage.
BEARING CAGE FOR A ROLLING-ELEMENT BEARING
First and second bearing cage halves each having an annular base body and a plurality of pins extending from the base body and a plurality of pin receptacles, the first and second cage haves forming a bearing cage when the pins are received into the pin receptacles. A body of sacrificial material is located on the pins and/or in the pin receptacles which body is configured to be melted ultrasonically to join the first cage half to the second cage half and form the bearing cage.
TWO-PIECE ROLLER RETAINER CAGE FOR A ROLLER THRUST BEARING
A roller retainer cage for a roller thrust bearing, including a first cage half with an annular portion, a first flange extending axially from an inner peripheral edge of the annular portion and a second flange extending axially from an outer peripheral edge of the annular portion, a second cage half including an annular portion, a first flange extending axially from an inner peripheral edge of the annular portion and a second flange extending axially from an outer peripheral edge of the annular portion, wherein the first flange of the first cage half is disposed radially-outwardly of the first flange of the second cage half, the second flange of the first cage half is disposed radially-inwardly of the second flange of the second cage half, and the first cage half is comprised of a through-hardened metal.
Method of forming a roller bearing cage with tangs
The invention relates to a method of forming a roller bearing cage comprising: forming a planar strip of material, having a length corresponding to a circumferential dimension of a roller bearing cage; forming openings in the planar strip, corresponding to positions at which rollers are to be located; forming a plurality of tangs, alongside and part of each side of the length of the planar strip, each tang having a first tang edge of a first length adjoining the strip and a second edge of a second length opposite the first tang edge; and bending each side of the length of the strip such that the plurality of tangs is positioned at an angle with respect to the planar strip, wherein the fold is through an angle of greater than 90 and less than or equal to 180 relative to the plane of the planar strip.
