A distance in a direction along the rotation axis from a center of the bearing to a center of the heat flux sensor is longer than 0.5 time and shorter than one time of a dimension of the bearing in the direction along the rotation axis.

The present document relates to a mechanical assembly, comprising: a first roller bearing including an inner race, an outer race and a plurality of rolling elements, wherein an axis of rotation of the first roller bearing defines a first axial direction oriented horizontally or inclined with respect to the vertical direction, a source of lubricant configured to deliver lubricant to the first roller bearing, and at least one movable element disposed adjacent to the first roller bearing on a first side of the first roller bearing in the first axial direction, wherein the rolling elements of the first roller bearing are tapered and their larger diameter ends point towards the at least one movable element, and/or wherein axes of rotation of the rolling elements of the first roller bearing are inclined with respect to the the first axial direction so that centrifugal forces generated inside the first roller bearing are configured to transport lubricant towards the at least one movable element.

A cage for a bearing, including: a first annular segment; a second annular segment located radially inwardly of the first annular segment; a vane connected to the first annular segment and to the second annular segment and including a first axial end facing at least partly in a first axial direction parallel to an axis of rotation of the cage and a second axial end facing at least partly in a second axial direction, opposite the first axial direction, the second axial end off-set from the first axial end in a circumferential direction around the axis of rotation; and a curved surface connected to the first annular segment and the second annular segment and arranged to retain a ball of the bearing. A bearing includes an integrated electrical shunt. The shunt includes electrically conductive fibers sandwiched between two washers, at least one of which is electrically conductive. The fibers are fastened to the electrically conductive washer by electrically conductive epoxy. An outer shield protects the fibers. The outer shield is held to the washers by a drawn cup. The washers, the drawn cup, and the outer shield all have oil drain holes to allow lubricant to flow to the rollers.
