A bearing device includes an annular hub cap facing an inner ring. An inner annular surface of the hub cap abuts a part of one end surface of the inner ring which extends from an inner peripheral edge to an intermediate position located on the way from the inner peripheral edge to an outer peripheral edge. An annular adhesive retaining portion is formed between the area extending from the intermediate position to the outer peripheral edge of one end surface and at least an inclined annular surface of the hub cap.

Roller bearing seal assembly and a component thereof

In accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure, a roller bearing seal assembly is provided that includes a seal case and a rotor having a unitary, one-piece construction. The rotor is connected to the seal case and is rotatable relative to the seal case about an axis. The seal case and rotor include interfering portions that limit axial separation of the rotor and the seal case. In one embodiment, the rotor and seal case include at least one snap-fit connection that permits the rotor and seal case to be readily assembled. The at least one snap-fit connection includes the interfering portions which inhibit axial separation of the rotor and seal case after the rotor and seal case have been assembled.

EXTENDED CARTRIDGE SEAL DESIGN FOR BEARING

A bearing includes a plurality of rolling elements that contact an inner ring and an outer ring to facilitate relative rotation therebetween. A seal is coupled to one of the rings to inhibit external debris or contaminants from interfering with the rolling operation of the rolling elements. The seal includes a metal insert over-molded with a synthetic material, and wraps around a portion of the ring that it contacts. For example, in one embodiment, the metal insert includes an axially-extending portion extending along at least a portion of the inner surface of the outer ring, and a radially-extending portion extending along at least a portion of the axial face of the outer ring.

BEARING SEAL ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A PULSE WHEEL
20200166082 · 2020-05-28 ·

A bearing seal assembly includes at least one seal unit and at least one pulse wheel attached to the seal unit in an interference-fit and/or a materially bonded manner. The seal unit may include a radially outer member surrounding a radially inner member, the radially inner member may have a cylindrical seal surface and a flange projecting radially outwardly from an end of the seal surface and the radially outer member may have a metal profile element at least partially covered by an elastomer body that defines a first seal lip that directly contacts the cylindrical seal surface of the radially inner member. The pulse wheel may be attached to the radially outer member by a radially inwardly directed flange of the metal profile element overlying a radially outer edge of the pulse wheel.

Bearing retention method and apparatus

A method of assembling a bearing assembly includes fitting a first ring onto a first end of a gear shaft. A second ring is fed into a slot in the first ring. The second ring is driven through the slot in the first ring. The second ring is positioned within the first ring. The second ring is positioned about the gear shaft such that a first end and a second end of the second ring are covered by a solid portion of the first ring.

PLANETARY GEAR DEVICE AND VEHICLE WHEEL DRIVE DEVICE

A first labyrinth seal includes: a drive shaft side annular protrusion that is formed on one of the slinger and the drive shaft seal plate and that protrudes over the circumference of the drive shaft; and a drive shaft side annular groove that is formed on the other of the slinger and the drive shaft seal plate and that recedes over the circumference of the shaft. A second labyrinth seal includes: a carrier-side annular protrusion that is formed on one of the carrier seal plate and the planetary carrier and that protrudes over the circumference of the shaft of the planetary carrier; and a carrier-side annular groove that is formed on the other of the carrier seal plate and the planetary carrier and that recedes over the circumference of the shaft.

Provided is disclosure for an example providing protection from electrical discharges for a rolling bearing assembly, where the rolling bearing assembly comprises an inner ring with an inner ring raceway, an outer ring with an outer ring raceway, rolling elements configured to roll or rotate between the inner ring raceway and the outer ring raceway, and at least one electrically conductive part with a first end and a second end, where the first end is configured to electrically contact the inner ring and the second end is configured to electrically contact the outer ring.

Hub lubricant containment seal system

An apparatus for a vehicle is provided that includes a spindle sleeve with a spindle sleeve inner surface axis. The spindle sleeve has a spindle sleeve outer surface axis that is not coaxial with the spindle sleeve inner surface axis. A hub with a hub axis coaxial with the spindle sleeve outer surface axis is also present. Also included are first and second bearings within the hub, and a containment seal that engages the hub and the spindle sleeve. A sleeve washer is included, and the containment seal is located between the first bearing and the sleeve washer in an axial direction of the hub.
