LOW FRICTION SEAL ASSEMBLY FOR TRUCK HUBS
A seal assembly is for a wheel hub assembly and includes an inner annular case disposable about an axle and having a radial portion extending radially outwardly from the axle. An outer annular case is coupleable with a hub bore and has a radial portion extending radially inwardly from the bore. An annular elastomeric seal member has a base portion disposed on the outer case and at least one flexible axial seal lip with a first end integrally formed with the base portion and a second, free end sealingly engageable with the radial portion of the inner case. The lip extends generally axially and radially outwardly from the first end to the second end such that the lip is biased radially outwardly by centrifugal force during rotation of the hub to reduce sealing pressure of the lip second end on the inner case radial portion.
Combined insulator and conductor assembly for bearings with prong-locked conductor
A combined insulator and conductor assembly is for a bearing disposable between a shaft and a housing and includes an annular insulator disposeable about the bearing outer ring. The insulator is configured to prevent electric current flow between the outer ring and the housing and includes one or more axial mounting tabs. An electrical conductor has an outer radial end, an inner radial end and at least one retainer, the at least one retainer being engageable with the at least one mounting tab to releasably couple the conductor with the insulator. Each retainer includes a radially-extending prong engageable with a separate tab. The conductor outer radial end or/and a portion of the conductor between the outer and inner ends is conductively engageable with the housing and the conductor inner radial end being conductively engageable with the shaft so as to provide a conductive path between the shaft and the housing.
MODULAR ECCENTRIC LOCKING SYSTEM AND ATTACHMENT METHOD FOR CIRCULAR BORES
A cover assembly includes a ring. The ring has a bore with an eccentric inner geometry. The cover assembly includes a cap. The cap has an eccentric outer geometry. The cap is configured to fit within the bore of the ring. In a concentric position, the eccentric outer geometry of the cap and the eccentric inner geometry of the ring are configured to be offset. In an eccentric position, the eccentric outer geometry of the cap is configured to force the eccentric inner geometry of the ring outward.
Sealing device for a bearing unit
A sealing device for a bearing unit, the device having a stationary part provided with: a first metal shield, an elastomer coating, co-molded on the first shield, at least one contacting lip, radially internal, belonging to the elastomer coating. The sealing device having a rotatable part provided with a second metal shield on which the contacting lip makes a sliding contact. The second metal shield is provided with a plurality of flow baffles positioned at least on an axially exposed surface of the shield, shaped as recesses realized through the axially exposed surface and distributed along a radially outer peripheral edge of the shield.
Sealing system for bearing assembly for floor machine
The sealing system seals the bearings of a floor machine. The sealing system provides a sealing base and a sealing head. A seal is positioned between the sealing base and the sealing head to seal the bearing. The sealing base secures to the driver plate. The sealing base extends upward above the bearing. The sealing head is positioned above the sealing base. The sealing head is positioned radially inward of the sealing base at the bearing. The sealing head extends upward above the sealing base and extends outward beyond an upper portion of the sealing base to be located radially outward from the sealing base. The seal is located at an upper portion of the sealing base. The seal is located radially outward from the sealing base. The seal is located below the sealing head at a sealing aperture located between a sealing shoulder and a sealing neck.
Fluid union apparatus and method
A device for transferring a pressurized fluid from a stationary source into a rotating spindle shaft includes a stationary housing including an internal socket having a socket wall and a rotatable shaft extending into the socket. The shaft includes an outer surface and a shaft bore having inlet and outlet ends. The device includes a washer positioned over the shaft and including a first flat side surface and a second side surface having at least a portion angled with respect to the first flat side surface in operative contact with the socket wall. The device includes a bushing positioned over the shaft and including a bore having an inner surface spaced apart from the outer surface of the shaft by a gap. The bushing includes a first end surface proximate the inlet end and a second end surface in operative contact with the first flat side surface of the washer.
SEALING DEVICE FOR A TAPERED-ROLLER BEARING UNIT
A Sealing device for sealing off a bearing unit from oil contaminants is disclosed herein. The sealing device comprises an annular metallic screen integral to a stationary inner ring, an annular metallic support integral to a rotatable outer ring, and an elastomeric element mounted on the support and comprises a radial lip and an axial lip that cooperate in a sliding and contacting manner with the screen.
BEARING INTEGRATED SEAL
A bearing integrated seal includes a cylindrical bearing member, an outer member covering at least an outer periphery and one axial direction end of the bearing member, an annular ring-shaped seal member provided such that one surface thereof covers the other axial direction end of the bearing member in an inner surface side of the outer member, and an inner member covering the other surface of the seal member in an opposite side to the one surface to fit the seal member to the bearing member in the inner surface side of the outer member, and the inner member is fixed to the outer member to fix the bearing member and the seal member.
Bearing protector
A split bearing protector with a flexible design that adds improved moisture protection to a bearing and can be installed without removing the bearing from the machine in which it is installed.
SEALING DEVICE FOR A BEARING UNIT
A sealing device for sealing off external contaminants from a bearing unit between a stationary radially outer ring and a rotatable radially inner ring, the sealing device including a first, metallic and rotatable annular screen having a first mounting area for assembly with interference on the radially inner ring, a second, metallic and stationary annular screen having a second mounting area for assembly with interference on the radially outer ring, an annular sealing element made of elastomeric material, integrally supported by the second annular screen, and equipped with at least one contacting annular sealing lip projecting axially and radially from the second screen towards the first screen, and a non-contacting annular lip extending axially and facing a first flange portion of the first annular screen.
