A rotating electrical machine includes an outer housing; a drive shaft rotatably mounted within the outer housing; a bearing supporting the drive shaft relative to the outer housing, wherein the outer housing includes a support surface confronting the bearing and the bearing includes a bearing surface confronting the support surface, and further wherein a region defined between the support surface and the bearing surface has a lubrication layer; and a lubrication flow path configured to direct a lubricant to the bearing, wherein the lubrication flow path is in fluid communication with the region between the support surface and the bearing surface so as to replenish the lubrication layer. A method of lubricating a bearing for a rotating electrical machine is also disclosed. The rotating electrical machine may be a generator for a wind turbine.

A UTV double row tapered wheel bearing assembly may include a first inner diameter race, a second inner diameter race axially offset from the first inner diameter race, and an outer diameter race radially offset from the first inner diameter race and the second inner diameter race, the outer diameter race formed as a single integral member. A first ring of rollers may be disposed between the outer diameter race and the first inner diameter race. A second ring of rollers may be disposed between the outer diameter race and the second inner diameter race. A first shield may be coupled to a first axial face of the bearing, and a second shield may be coupled to the second axial face of the bearing.

At least one additional seal (14) is arranged between the protective cap (7) and a ring race (13, 17) of the outer ring (5), whereby said seal does not make any additional installation space necessary in the axial direction of the bearing unit (1).

A wheel bearing apparatus includes a hub shaft having a flange to which a wheel is attached and which is located on a vehicular outer side, an outer ring, a plurality of rolling elements, an annular seal member, and an annular slinger. The slinger has a circular ring portion that is in contact with the flange and a tube portion extending from the circular ring portion toward a vehicular inner side. The tube portion has pawl portions located on the vehicular inner side to engage with a recessed portion of an outer periphery of the hub shaft to inhibit the slinger from being displaced toward the vehicular inner side. The tube portion is further provided with a plurality of slits that is formed along a circumferential direction and that is open on the vehicular inner side. The slits include slits with different depths.

An oil sealing device for preventing a leakage of an oil of a bearing which supports a rotary shaft of a rotating machine has a brush member having a plurality of bristles in contact with the rotary shaft, and an actuator configured to move the brush member in a length direction of the rotary shaft, wherein a sloped surface having different heights along a length direction of the rotary shaft is formed at the rotary shaft, and wherein when the bristles are worn, the actuator moves the brush member in a length direction of the rotary shaft so that the bristles comes into contact with the sloped surface.

A slinger is secured to the shaft. The slinger being made from plastic and including a first semi-circular part and a second semi-circular part that is secured to the first semi-circular part. The slinger includes a radially extending wall portion with a raised bumper feature at a radially outer surface opposing the seal member. The slinger further includes an axially protruding labyrinth feature extending from the radially extending wall portion and toward the seal member. The first semi-circular part and the second semi-circular part can be snap fit to one another.

A sealing device for insertion between a first and a second bearing part. The device including a rotating first shield, a stationary second shield, and an elastomeric sealing element having a first and a second sealing lip. The first shield includes a peripheral section having a first and a second axially extending sleeve portion connected by a first radially extending flange portion. The second shield including a support section for the lips, having an intermediate frustoconical portion that connects a second flange portion of the peripheral section to a mounting section of the second shield. The intermediate portion is positioned axially at a step formed by the first flange portion and by the first sleeve portion. The mounting section is arranged partially inside the second sleeve portion to form an axially directed labyrinth seal that is in metal-to-metal contact with the second bearing.
