DYNAMIC FLUID SEAL
A low drag fluid seal. The fluid seal includes a rigid lip separated from the rotor shaft by a gap, the gap being sufficient narrow, radially, to prevent liquid from seeping through the gap at an unacceptable rate, but sufficiently wide, radially, to avoid unacceptably high viscous drag. Fluid that seeps through the gap accumulates in a recovery cavity and is recovered by a scavenge pump.
Sealing device for a rolling bearing
A sealing device including a first annular shield fixable to a first ring, a second annular shield facing the first and fixable to a second ring. A first shield annular sliding sealing lip cooperating with the second ring. At least first and second annular non-contacting sealing lips of the second shield. The first non-contacting lip includes a first portion extending in projection, and a second end extending axially and radially projecting from the first portion; being tapered towards a free end thereof, axially away from the first ring, which come into contact axially when the first annular lip is bent towards the first shield. The second non-contacting lip extends axially projecting from the first shield from the same side as the second portion of the first lip and beyond it and forms towards the first lip an annular collecting channel of possible contaminants which pass beyond the first annular lip.
Bearing with protective cover for a seal
A bearing having an inner ring, an outer ring, and at least one seal arranged between the rings. The bearing including a protective cover that delimits an annular space into which the seal extends and provides an outer annular portion and at least one inner portion disposed radially facing and at a distance from one another, and a connecting annular portion linking the outer annular portion and the inner portion; and at least one means for fixing the protective cover onto the inner ring, the fixing means passing through the outer and inner portions of the protective cover and cooperating with the inner ring.
Bearing having a sealing flange
The bearing provides an outer ring, an inner ring, at least one seal to one of the rings and cooperating with the other ring, and at least one sealing flange. The sealing flange includes a fixing portion to fix the flange to the other ring, an end portion and a connecting portion to connect the fixing portion and end portion. The end portion of the flange is curved and disposed axially facing the connecting portion. The curved end portion and connecting portion define an annular space that open radially towards the other ring. The curved end portion is mounted axially in contact against an outer lateral face of the seal.
Contamination-resistant bearing assembly
A contamination-resistant bearing assembly includes an inner ring, an outer ring, a rolling unit, two contamination-resistant internal sleeves and two contamination-resistant external sleeves. The outer ring cooperates with the inner ring to define a bearing space where the rolling unit and the sleeves are disposed. The external sleeves are located at two opposite sides of the internal sleeves which are located at two opposite sides of the rolling unit in an axial direction. Each of the external sleeves includes a metal rigid shell and a sealing member.
BEARING WITH REMOVABLE SEALING MODULE
A bearing provides a first ring and a second ring capable of rotating concentrically relative to one another, and at least one seal provided with at least one sealing lip. The bearing further includes a sealing module providing a carrier reversibly secured to the first ring, the seal being mounted radially into contact with the carrier, a friction ring reversibly secured to the second ring, the sealing lip of the seal coming into contact with the friction ring, and at least one spacing element axially interposed between the friction ring and the second ring.
ROLLING BEARING WITH REMOVABLE SEALING MODULE
A rolling bearing providing a first ring and a second ring capable of rotating concentrically relative to one another, at least one row of rolling elements arranged between first and second raceways of the first and second rings, and at least one seal provided with at least one sealing lip. The first ring includes at least one first rolling ring having the first raceway and a first sealing ring secured to the first rolling ring. The second ring further includes at least one second rolling ring having the second raceway and a second sealing ring secured to the second rolling ring. The bearing also further includes a sealing module reversibly secured to the first and second sealing rings.
CUP ASSEMBLY FOR A UNIVERSAL JOINT BEARING
A cup assembly for a pin of a universal joint bearing includes a cup, a first seal ring attached to the cup, and a second seal ring. The first seal ring includes an elastic element and a spring element configured to preload the elastic element toward the pin, the second seal ring includes a dimensionally stable seal section that is configured to sealingly interact with the pin, and the second seal ring is connected to the cup either directly, or via the elastic element or via an elastic retainer. Also a method of installing the cup assembly.
BEARING UNIT
A bearing unit is disclosed, which includes a new labyrinth sealing device designed for use in the ventilation industry that prevents entry of contaminants therein. The sealing device according to the present disclosure provides a “contactless” sealing device, i.e. one without contacting elements (for example elastomer lips); and a bearing unit with a low frictional torque, due only to the internal geometry and the efficiency of the lubricant, but certainly without any contribution from the sealing devices. The sealing devices comprises a plurality of shields, and wherein the combination and structural orientation of these shields creates a long, narrow labyrinth L with many changes in direction, and therefore a path for external contaminants with significant head loss. Consequently, any contaminants that make into the bearing unit, passing through the entire labyrinth L, will be negligible.
SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR FOOD APPLICATIONS
A support assembly for moving shafts, comprising a bearing unit positioned in a casing, and a cover for fluid sealing the casing. The support assembly comprises double level of protection provided by two distinct sealing devices that keep the bearing unit protected from washing liquid even in the most demanding conditions of use. The better sealing configuration aids in overall better sealing of the bearing unit; greater resistance to contaminants; and improving the sealing performance of the whole support assembly.
