A sealing device for wheel hubs connected to constant-velocity joints including a first sealing assembly arranged between inner and outer rings of the wheel hub, and a second sealing assembly mounted on the inner ring and straddling the wheel hub and an outer ring of the constant-velocity joint. The first sealing assembly has a signal generating element having an annular insert mounted externally on a shield facing the constant-velocity joint and extending axially projecting above part of an annular step formed, on the same side as the constant-velocity joint, on a radially outer side surface of the inner ring, in a position immediately adjacent to the sleeve portion of the first shield. The second sealing assembly includes a tubular support keyed onto the inner ring by its first end on the outside edge folded in the manner of an L and shaped to engage inside the annular insert.

TAPERED ROLLER BEARING AND WIND TURBINE

A tapered roller bearing may comprise an inner ring, an outer ring, and two rows of tapered rollers that are arranged in an O-arrangement between the inner ring and the outer ring. The inner ring may extend in an axial direction over a greater length than the outer ring, and a gap between the inner ring and the outer ring on at least one side of the tapered roller bearing may be sealed by a sealing assembly. The sealing assembly may comprise a main seal that is attached to the inner ring in a rotationally fixed manner, as well as a seal race ring that is attached to the outer ring in a rotationally fixed manner. The seal race ring may form a seal raceway for the main seal.

Conveyor idler seal apparatus, systems, and methods

Seal assemblies for conveyor idler rolls are provided. In some embodiments, a plurality of subsets of seal components are selectively installable in the seal assembly. In some embodiments, one or more fins are included on a seal.

It is provided here that a wheel bearing pre-seal is rotationally fixed to the shaft adjacently to the wheel bearing and engages by a seal protrusion in a pre-seal receiving area formed in at least some sections between the outer ring and the wheel support.

The bearing module includes a first bearing ring and a second bearing ring, the first bearing ring is a split bearing ring having a first bearing ring part and a second bearing ring part, the second bearing ring has at least one axially extending bore for attaching the second bearing ring directly to the nacelle housing, the first bearing ring is configured to be connected to the rotor shaft and/or to the rotor hub, and the split bearing ring is preloaded by a preload element.

Bearing unit with a sealing device

A bearing unit having a stationary radially outer ring, a radially inner ring, rotatable with respect to a rotation axis (X) and steadily connected to a rotating shaft, a row of rolling bodies interposed between the radially outer ring and the radially inner ring, a casing, inside which the rings of the bearing unit are housed, a sealing device, and a protection disk. The protection disk may be mounted in an axially external position to the sealing device and fixed to the radially inner ring. Additionally, the protection disk may have a shaped metallic screen, and an elastomer coating over-molded on part of the screen. The protection disk may further be in contact with an axially external surface of the radially outer ring through the elastomer coating, which is provided with two lips, a first lip, non-contacting or contacting and radially external, and a second lip, contacting and radially internal.

Bearing compartment sealing system with passive cooling

The present disclosure relates to sealing systems for bearing compartments. In one embodiment, a sealing system includes a runner configured to extend circumferentially around a rotating component, the runner is formed of a material with low radial thermal growth and is configured to fit to the rotating component to remove heat away from the runner. The runner can include an outer surface configured to provide passive cooling for the runner in the bearing compartment. The sealing system can also include a seal configured to operate with the runner, wherein the seal includes a clearance seal on an air side of the runner. The runner can be configured to operate without direct oil cooling.

Dynamic fluid seal

A low drag fluid seal. The fluid seal includes a lip separated from the rotor shaft, during operation, by a gap, the gap being sufficient narrow, radially, to prevent liquid from seeping through the gap at an unacceptable rate, but sufficiently wide, radially, to avoid unacceptably high viscous drag. Fluid that seeps through the gap accumulates in a recovery cavity and is recovered.
