WHEEL HUB BEARING UNIT WITH OPTIMIZED POSITIONING OF OUTBOARD BALLS
A wheel hub bearing unit includes a hub rotatable about an axis and having a flange connectable with a wheel, an inner ball raceway and an inner roller raceway. An outer ring is connectable with the vehicle and disposed about the hub and has an outer ball raceway and an outer roller raceway. A plurality of balls roll upon the inner and outer ball raceways and a plurality of tapered rollers roll upon the inner and outer roller raceways. A contact angle between the balls and the ball raceways has a value between ten degrees and forty degrees. Each line extending through ball inner and outer contact points intersects with a line extending through a roller midpoint circle at a vertex, the vertex being spaced from a midpoint of a spacing line segment between ball and roller pitch circles by an axial distance of no greater than 7.5 millimeters.
BEARING ASSEMBLY FOR STEERING COLUMN
A radial support bearing assembly for use within a steering column assembly having an outer tube and a shaft, including at least one inner ring defining an inner raceway, the inner ring being axially fixed relative to the shaft, at least one outer ring defining an outer raceway, and a plurality of roller elements disposed between the at least one inner ring and the at least one outer ring in rolling contact with the inner raceway and the outer raceway. The inner ring is in direct contact with the shaft and has a circular cross-section as taken in a plane parallel to a longitudinal center axis of the shaft.
Bearing device for a wheel
An assembling method includes fitting an entire range of the guide portion to the stem section with a gap therebetween, and inserting a bolt from an outboard side through a bolt insertion hole formed in the hub wheel. In this state, a maximum inclination angle of the bolt with respect to the hub wheel is set to be larger than a maximum inclination angle of the outer joint member with respect to the hub wheel. The method also includes connecting the bearing and the constant velocity universal joint to each other by threadedly engaging and fastening the bolt into a bolt hole formed in the stem section.
Rolling bearing device for telescopic masts and fork carriage for fork lift trucks
A device for adjusting a rolling bearing for mutual sliding of mast members for supporting a fork carriage of a fork lift truck includes a threaded coupling between an inner ring of the rolling bearing and a relative support pin, and an actuation member freely rotatable through the support pin and rotatably connected with the inner ring. The actuation member can be maneuvered to rotate the inner ring and vary the axial position of the rolling bearing with respect to the support pin through the threaded coupling.
Bearing device for a wheel
A bearing device for a wheel has a stem shaft of an outer joint member of a constant-velocity universal joint fit and inserted in a hole of a hub wheel, the stem shaft and hub wheel being coupled through an intermediation of a recess-projection fitting structure. Projections extending in an axial direction are provided on one of the stem shaft and an inner diameter surface of the hole of the hub wheel. The projections are press-fit into another of the stem shaft and the inner diameter surface of the hole along the axial direction. Recesses that adhere to and fit the projections are formed in the other. An end on an inboard side of the hub wheel is caulked to an outer diameter side to form a caulking section and preload is applied to a roller bearing by the caulking section.
Bearing device for wheel
A bearing device for a wheel has a wheel bearing including inner and outer rings, a hub wheel, and balls between outer raceway surfaces of the outer ring and inner raceway surfaces of the hub wheel and the inner ring. A stem section is fitted into an inner diameter of the hub wheel to couple a constant velocity universal joint to the wheel bearing through a screw fastening structure so that a shoulder portion of an outer joint member abuts against a crimped portion of the hub wheel. Projecting portions formed on the stem section are press-fitted into the hub wheel having depressed portions formed to interfere with the projecting portions, and a shape of the projecting portions is transferred to the hub wheel providing a projection and depression fitting structure in which the projecting and depressed portions are in close contact at an entire fitting contact portion therebetween.
ROTATIONAL LOCK IN INNER RING OF OUTBOARD BEARING TO AVOID LOCK WASHER
A wheel end assembly for a vehicle, comprising a central wheel support member such as a spindle or a steering knuckle, and an outboard wheel end bearing arranged concentrically around the central wheel support member. The outboard wheel end bearing comprises roller elements accommodated between an inner race-forming part and an outer race-forming part surrounding the inner race-forming part. The inner race-forming part is configured to be supported by the central wheel support member. The central wheel support member comprises a first rotational lock portion. The inner race-forming part comprises a second rotational lock portion configured to engage with the first rotational lock portion to prevent the inner race-forming part from rotating relative to the central wheel support member. The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising such a wheel end assembly.
Bearing assembly for steering column
A radial support bearing assembly for use within a steering column assembly having an outer tube and a shaft 50, including at least one inner ring 70 defining an inner raceway, the inner ring 70 being axially fixed relative to the shaft 50, at least one outer ring 30 defining an outer raceway, and a plurality of roller elements 60 disposed between the at least one inner ring 70 and the at least one outer ring 30 in rolling contact with the inner raceway and the outer raceway. The inner ring 70 is in direct contact with the shaft 50 and has a circular cross-section as taken in a plane parallel to a longitudinal center axis of the shaft 50.
AXLE AND BEARING FOR CONVEYOR CHAIN LINK
The invention relates to an axle and bearing for a conveyor chain link, such as those used in commercial bakery equipment. The conveyor chain link generally includes at least one roller bearing wheel with a central hole, an axle pin, and a link component with a bore. The axle pin is configured to extend through the hole in the roller bearing wheel and the bore in the link component to attach the at least one roller bearing wheel to the link component. The axle pin includes a medial portion having at least one surface engagement feature configured for anti-spin engagement with the link component. The roller bearing wheel includes at least one engagement feature for anti-spin engagement with the distal end of the axle pin.
