Clutch disc with resiliently deformable damping web and method of manufacturing same
A friction disc. The friction disc includes a plate having a forward facing plate surface, a rearward facing plate surface, an inward facing plate surface, and an outward facing plate surface. An inward facing plate surface has a plate lug extending radially inwardly. The friction disc includes a hub having an inward facing hub surface and an outward facing hub surface. The outward facing hub surface has a hub lug extending radially outwardly. The friction disc includes a damping web connecting the plate to the hub to transmit torque between the plate and the hub to rotate the plate and the hub mutually. The damping web includes a resiliently deformable material that limits transmission of shock between the plate and the hub.
UNIVERSAL DAMPER AND INTERCHANGEABLE HUB ASSEMBLY
A clutch disc assembly, comprising a friction plate, a damper fixedly secured to the friction plate, comprising an inwardly facing saline and a retainer plate, the retainer plate comprises a first radially inwardly facing surface and a second radially inwardly facing surface radially offset from the first radially inwardly facing surface, and a hub, the hub comprises a first radially outwardly facing surface having a circumferential groove, a second radially outwardly facing surface having an outer saline that meshes with the inwardly facing saline to non-rotatably connect the hub and the damper, and an internal saline surface.
Transmission with fluid distributing clutch hub
A clutch hub is splined to a planetary ring gear and a second rotating element, coupling the two elements. The spline defines a number of axial fluid distribution channels that conduct fluid from an interior radial passageway beside the ring gear to exterior radial passageways over the ring gear. These axial passageways permit packaging the clutch pack directly over the ring gear without drilling holes in the hardened gear material. The axial channels may be defined by radial space between the splined components. Alternatively or additionally, some spline teeth may be omitted to define larger axial channels.
Clutch ring gear assembly and method of construction thereof
A clutch ring gear assembly and method of construction thereof are provided. The assembly has a bearing seat including a flange extending radially outwardly from a central axis. The flange has a plurality of holes spaced circumferentially from one another about the central axis. A ring gear carrier includes a rim extending radially outwardly from the central axis. The rim has a plurality of through openings. Each of the through openings of the rim has an annular boss extending axially away from the rim in generally parallel relation to the central axis. The annular bosses are disposed within the holes and have hollow, annular end portions flared radially outwardly into engagement with the flange of said bearing seat to fixedly attach the ring gear carrier to the bearing seat.
Friction clutch assembly
A clutch plate including first and second plates with the first plate having a friction material applied about its peripheral edge. A hub for connection to an output shaft and having a hub flange. The first and second plates being angularly displaceable relative to each other and being coupled by at least two drive springs. A sleeve extends about a portion of each of the drive springs so that a portion of each of the drive springs extends out of the sleeve. The sleeve being interposed between a radially outer surface of the springs and a facing bearing surface formed by the plates. The arrangement is such that during compression of the springs, the springs are moveable within the sleeves relative to the sleeves and the sleeves are moveable relative to the bearing surface of the plates.
CLUTCH PACK WITH ROBUST HYSTERESIS
A hysteresis device assembly comprises a first spacer plate, a second spacer plate, a stack plate, and a hub. The hub engages the second spacer plate. The hysteresis device assembly further comprises a tabbed washer comprising a tab. The tab engages the first spacer plate and the stack plate.
ZERO BACKLASH PRE-DAMPER TO MAIN DAMPER ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
A driven damper assembly, comprises a first main-damper cover plate comprising an inclined portion. The inclined portion comprises a notch. A first plane passes through the first pre-damper cover plate. A second plane passes through the first main-damper cover plate and is parallel to the first plane. The notch comprises a first wall and a second wall. The first wall is not parallel to the second wall. The inclined portion extends away from the second plane at an angle greater than zero degrees away from the second plane and less than ninety degrees away from the second plane. The first pre-damper cover plate comprises a tab with a first portion extending outwardly at an angle greater than zero degrees away from the first plane and less than ninety degrees away from the first plane, wherein the tab engages the notch at the first wall and the second wall.
Torque Converter Clutch
An improved torque converter damper disc and/or clutch that includes the use of a parametric spring system. The parametric spring is configured to address critical inflection and pinch points along the spring longitudinal length. These critical points are areas of higher applied stress due to torsional stress and bending stress, the latter of which mainly attributed to centrifugal loading.

Hybrid driving module
The present invention relates to a hybrid driving module, in which an input member is aligned in a radial direction and/or an axial direction by a rotor hub, and thus the hybrid driving module may be easily assembled and ensure the high axial balance and the operability and durability of the engine clutch. In the hybrid driving module, the input member may be aligned at least in the radial direction or in the axial direction by a central shaft extension part of the rotor hub. A bearing configured to support a rotation and thrust may be installed between the central shaft extension part and the input member. The input member may be supported to be rotatable relative to a housing. The input member may be aligned in the radial direction and/or the axial direction by the housing.
