Self-tolerance compensating S-cam brake system and vehicle having the same
An S-cam brake system having is disclosed. The system includes a roller assembly, an S-cam, a shoe, and an S-cam brake. The roller assembly is configured to allow relative movement between a roller and a roller pin. The roller assembly is interposed between the S-cam and the shoe. Relative movement between a roller and a roller pin can compensates a defect in machining the outer contact surface of the S-cam roller or a defect in concentricity of roller seating depressions of the shoe.
APPARATUS FOR DRUM BRAKE ASSEMBLY
An apparatus for a drum brake assembly having a brake drum and an actuator includes a shoe spreader web with a first side for connecting to a first piston of the actuator and a second side for connecting to a second piston of the actuator. A first brake shoe is secured to the first side of the web. A second brake shoe is secured to the second side of the web. The brake shoes have a first condition in which the respective first and second sides of the web move the brake shoes to apply braking force to the brake drum in response to actuation of the actuator. The first brake shoe has a second condition moving relative to the web for absorbing brake drum contraction forces and prevent the full magnitude of these forces from reaching the actuator clevises.

Internal expanding shoe brake, in particular wedge-actuated simplex brake, with an actuator for expanding brake shoes
An internal expanding shoe brake comprises expansion pistons (17) for forcing opposing brake shoes (2) apart. In each expansion piston (17) one adjusting pin (30) is axially movably arranged and presses against a brake shoe web (4) by means of a pressure piece (34). Said pressure piece (34) is supported on the adjusting pin by means of a ball joint so as to pivot in any direction. In order to prevent the adjusting pin (30) from being twisted inside the expansion piston (17), an anti-rotation element is provided and comprises a pressure piece projection (39) which projects over the ball joint surface (36) of the pressure piece (34), said projection interlockingly engaging in a receiving opening (40) of the adjusting pin (30) with lateral play and forming a rotational coupling connection.

Actuating device for an internal shoe brake having an automatic adjusting device
The invention relates to an actuating device for an internal shoe brake, including an automatic adjusting device with an adjusting lever which includes a guide track in the form of a guiding slot with two opposing track surfaces which cooperate with opposing sides of a housing-fixed guide element in order to convert a displacement of the adjusting lever relative to the housing-fixed guide element into pivoting movements of the adjusting lever.

Drum brake apparatus
A drum brake apparatus includes a housing; a main braking unit installed on one part of the housing, and driven by a hydraulic pressure and pressing a shoe, during main braking; a parking braking unit installed on the other part of the housing, and driven by an electromotive force of an actuator and pressing the shoe, during parking braking; and a locking member locked to the housing through the actuator and a back plate, and fastening the actuator and the housing to the back plate.

Brake assembly with anchor pin retention
A brake assembly having a brake spider that may receive an anchor pin or a sleeve that receives an anchor pin. Features such as splines may be provided with the anchor pin to help secure the anchor pin to the brake spider or the sleeve. Engagement features may be provided with the sleeve to help secure the sleeve to the brake spider.
